Sophia's pov

Mr Knight tightly held my jaw in one place and his words sent shiver down my spine. I know I am going to have a break down right now. I just can't control my emotions. It's just too much for me. Why always me?  Why I am the only one to suffer?  Why I am the bad person in every ones eyes?  It's just too much.my tears streamed out of my eyes like a river. A sob escaped from my throat. Mr Knight's hold loosened on my jaw.
‘don't show me your crocodile tears.  I know what kind of woman you are. A slut, who would do anything to achieve luxuries. I guess that's why your parents don't even want you. A worthless and unwanted person on this earth. It would be the most luckiest day of my life if I got rid of your presence. Why don't you just die. You are such a burden on us. ’ Mr Knight said with venom. My heart is paining right now. It feels like someone stabbed me with a knife million times. I thought he would give a chance to our marriage. I know I am foolish but I still hoped he would want us to become a thing but now everything shattered. My feelings for him too.I should have known earlier that I was living in a delusion. He would never leave his girlfriend for someone like me. She is everything that I am not. He would never love me. God, I feel so stupid right now. I should have not let my heart opened up to him. I cried and cried in front of him. He was getting irritated. It was obvious from his face but I never stopped. At last he took my arms and took me to the place where glass was shattered in pieces. ‘your punishment is going to start from now.  Clean the floor and I want you to be ready for tomorrow. Come straight to my and Samantha's room in morning. I have some special tasks for you to complete. And yes remember that from tomorrow you are no longer going to your office. You will stay at home and not going out for you unless I say so. Understood? ’
I nodded my head eagerly afraid he would do something that I will regret.
‘I need words bitch. Speak with your god damn mouth. ’
I replied fearfully ‘yes Mr Knight. ’
He smirked at me and pushed me back to the floor where glass pieces were shattered. My left leg landed on those sharp pieces and a scream escaped from my throat because of the pain. I never could think that Mr Knight can be this cruel. Did he forget everything we had once. Those two weeks were best days of my life but I think he had forgotten everything. I thought he cared but he never did. It was just a mask. I really wanted help but no one was around me not even maids they have  already gone to their respective quarters. I slowly tried to lift up my leg from the floor cautiously and stood up and Limply approached toward the kitchen for first aid kit. Once I found it and sat on the couch tried to take all the pieces out of my skin. It was painful and after that I securely wrapped my wound. When I was going towards the attic I saw my blood stains on the floor along with some broken glass pieces. I decided to clean them otherwise Mr Knight would eat me alive. I closed my eyes and his face appeared in front of me with his words ‘ I know what kind of woman you are. A slut, who would do anything to achieve luxuries. I guess that's why your parents don't even want you. A worthless and unwanted person on this earth. It would be the most luckiest day of my life if I got rid of your presence. Why don't you just die. You are such a burden on us.’ his words repeate like a tape in my mind  and my eyes filled with tears again. After doing my work I slept on my hard bed praying to God to save me from the bad. ‘it's just the starting, I will make your life a living hell that you would yourself beg for death. ’his words still in my mind were enough to scare me more.

(Next morning)

I woke up with pain in my limbs. I stood up streched my arms and did my morning routine. I still remember he ordered me to come to his room in the early morning. I wore a tank top and a pair of  pyjamas and walked out of the attic to Mr Knight's room. When I entered, I was famished by the beauty of the room.

It was beyond luxurious and then I saw which again broke my heart into tiny shreds. Mr Knight in towel kissing Samantha who was lying on the bed and Mr Knight was trying to wake her up. ‘babe it's 6 am, wake up, I need to go to work as well. ’
I was feeling jealous. I really want to smack Samantha's and Mr Knight's head. I cleared my throat to gain Mr Knight's attention. And when he saw me I wished earth could swallow me right now. He was too intimidating for my own liking. ‘so the slut is here. Oh come on I have a special surprise for you. Come here and take a look at this.’ he said with a smirk lingering on his lips.
My words were struck in my throat when I saw  it.
