Sophia's pov

‘pack your bags we are moving out today. ’Xavier said with hard voice.
No it can't happen. I can't imagine what Mr Knight would do if he come to know about this. No,  I can't move out right now. I can't risk if my parents company is no longer under Mr Knight's supervision. My own parents would destroy me.
‘Xavier I can't move out with you. It's not possible with my situation right now and my parents are totally dependent on your brother. ’ I said

‘ why not?  I will not let you stay here any longer. I can't see you get hurt. ’

My heart melted with his concern. No one ever showed me this much love ever in my life. Thank god I met this beautiful soul who can bring happiness in my life and can't see me hurt not like others who hurt me the most.
‘I am so lucky to have you as my brother Xavier and thank you so much for your concern but contract between Knights and Alacantra's  wouldn't let me be free any time soon.’
‘but soph I can't leave you here after knowing about your situation. Please come with me I will not let anyone come near you. ’ he said frowning

‘Xavier you don't need to worry about me. I will tell you each and everything happening up here. And I know you will visit me frequently. Tell me if I am wrong. ’
I gave him my best smile and in  return he gave me his beautiful cheeky smile. I have a handsome brother, not that Adam is not good looking but I don't consider him my family.
‘ you have very cute smile sweetie and  Come on I am hungry let me take you to some restaurant so we can have a decent meal.’ Xavier said with eagerness. He took a hold of my hand and started pulling me out of the door.
‘xav instead of going out, I can cook for you and I assure you it will be ten times better.’
I said with a faintness in my voice.
‘sweetie do you think I will let you cook when you have injured your left arm? ’
‘ it's no problem, I can easily move it and I also don't want to go out of the house. ’ I said  stubbornly
‘ okay but I will assist you. Not that I know how to cook but you can give me instructions and I am good at  following instructions. ’ he winked
‘ sure,  why not?  It's not everyday you see the great Mr Xavier Knight cooking for you. ’

We both went to the kitchen together and started cooking and I was feeling so content and elated that I have never ever felt in my 22 years of existence in my life.we started with making chocolate cookies. Xavier is obsessed with these cookies. He is not even leaving the batter as well. Poking fingers again and again in the batter. At last I slapped his hand so he would not eat all the batter before cookies are made.
‘Xavier what are you doing?  I don't think you want to eat the cookies. You have already eaten half of the batter already. No,  don't even think to touch them again’?

After we were done with the cookies. I placed them on the table.
When we were in the middle of devouring them Mr Knight reached in the kitchen. He eyed me up and down and averted his gaze. He hates me that much that he didn't even consider to wish me. Well what I have done to deserve my husband's wrath.

‘ sweetie where you have put the left up  batter. ’
Xavi screamed from the kitchen.
My eyes went to the Mr Knight  whose eyes were widened like saucers. He didn't wait for a second and marched towards the kitchen with his big strides. I approached  xavi tailing behind Mr Knight.
Xavier was opening the refrigerator when his eyes landed upon Mr Knight and then he looked at me. I pleaded him with my eyes not to tell anything. I can already see the mischievous glint in his eyes.
‘hey bro you're back early,  do you want some cookies?  Soph and I made them together. Would you like to taste? ’Xavier said on the way back to the counter top, closing refrigerator along too.
I can already sense the coldness in the eyes of Mr knight.  Temperature of the room dropped down to the level, that one can easily sense the shivers sent up to their spine just by the cold tension in the air. I don't think it would be safe for me to stay here anymore as I am doing my best to avoid the drama. We all sat up on the counter top and I offered cookies to Mr knight. God I am so brave I think I should get myself enrolled in army.
He took a bite from it and I smiled at him asking through my eyes 'how are they'  and he  said ‘okay’.
Just OK, my foot here I have wasted my three hours preparing the batter and baking cookies and not to forget Xavier also ate the batter twice and he said okay. Mr Knight I have a advice for you. You should go and die in pig's butt. I wish I could say it on his mouth but the last time I opened my mouth, I remember I woke up in hospital and he is Mr Knight and I don't think I would ever wake up if I tried to open up my mouth again.
I took my first cookie from the plate and I was almost going to put that inside my mouth but Xavier took hold of my hand and pulled it towards his face devouring my cookie.
‘this cookie tastes more sweet. ’he said while devouring. ‘why’ Mr Knight said with a grunt.
‘maybe it is the  magic of hands of someone holding it. ’ I blushed at the statement and my hand was tightly pulled backwards by Mr Knight in rough manner.
‘she is my wife. Mine. ’
