Ruby laid in her bed listening to yang snore. Ruby waited for her team to fall asleep so she could sneak out. She had run out of blood so she needed to refill. Ruby crawled out of bed quietly ,and opened the window crawling out into the cold brisk air. Ruby morphed into a bat flying off into the night. She landed on a building morphing back into her human form. Ruby noticed a drunk man stumbling through the street. Ruby jumped down behind him "hEyy WhO arE yOUu," he slurred drunkley. "Go to sleep," Ruby said looking into his eyes causing him to pass out. Ruby dragged him into the ally she pulled down his collar digging her fangs into his neck sucking the blood from his neck. When Ruby finished she felt alot better ,but she felt a bit woozy. "Ugh I shouldn't have drank a drunk man's blood" Ruby thought as she wiped the blood away from her mouth. Ruby wiped the blood away from the man's neck. Ruby morphed into a bat flying back to Beacon. Ruby open the window sliding into her dorm. "And where have you been?" The stern voice of Weiss spoke. "O...oh! H...hey bestie...I was just....out for a walk..." Ruby stammered. Weiss sighed "I know when you're lying to me Mrs. Rose," Weiss said sternly. Yang and Blake were still fast asleep. "I just went for a walk," Ruby muttered. "Stop lying to me!" Weiss shouted waking yang and Blake. "Why do you care your always a stuck up brat to everyone especially me!!" Ruby yelled angrily. Everyone looked shocked "how dare you! Your the one acting like a child your mother would be sooooo proud!" Weiss shouted back. Ruby suddenly slapped Weiss "YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT ME OR MY FAMILY YOU BITCH!!!" Ruby yelled grabbing Weiss by the collar. Tears welled up in Weiss's eyes as she looked into Ruby's red eyes. "R... Ruby...please stop....your scaring me," Weiss whimpered through tears. "Ruby calm down!" Yang yelled putting her hand on Ruby's should. Ruby's eyes turned back to silver she realized what she had done. Ruby let go of Weiss "I...I..I'm...so sorry..." Ruby muttered as tears fell from eyes. "IM SORRY," Ruby yelled as she ran out the door. Weiss held her cheek as she stared at the door "are you ok Weiss?" Yang asked. "I...I'm fine," Weiss said wiping her tears away. "We should give Ruby space..." Yang said with a sad voice.

Meanwhile with ruby

Ruby jumped from building to building in Vale. Ruby sat down on the edge of a tall building. "Why...did I do that...I took out my anger on her...she was just worried about me...and I lashed out at her...I really am a monster" Ruby thought as tears fell onto her skirt. Ruby sighed "god damnit..." Ruby mumbled. "I'm sorry Weiss..." Ruby muttered as tears flowed down her face. Ruby sat there for a moment before she heard someone yelling. "What the hell" Ruby thought Ruby morphed into her bat form. Ruby flew though the cold air until she found the source of the yelling. A few men were cornering a deer faunus man "I should do something" Ruby thought as she jumped down. All the men turned to her "run along kid... we're just dealing with a loose animal," one of the man said grabbing the deer faunus's hair. "Let him go," Ruby said sternly "psh and what are you go-" he was cut off by Ruby punching him square in the jaw. "Gah!! You bitch!!" He yelled clutching his jaw as blood leaked from his noice. He went to throw a punch but Ruby quickly dodged kicking him in the balls. He fell to the ground clutching his balls. Ruby glared at his friends with blood red eyes they quickly ran off. The man got up following his friends. Ruby sighed "are you alright?" Ruby asked. "Yeah I'm fine thanks for the help," he said with a grateful expression. "No problem you should get home," Ruby said glancing at the blood on her fist. "Ok thank you again," he said running off. Ruby looked at the blood on her knuckle she licked it up licking her lips. "I...I should head back and.... apologize" Ruby thought as she walked through the dark streets of Vale. Ruby morphed into a bat flying back home. Ruby slowly opened the window climbing in looking around. Yang and Blake were fast asleep Ruby turned to look at Weiss only to find that she was not there. "Where is she..." Ruby thought as she looked around the room. "I should go look for her and apologize" Ruby thought as she left her dorm walking through the dark hallway her footsteps echoing through the halls. Ruby remembered Weiss mention how she loved sitting in the courtyard. Ruby decided to search there first. Ruby opened the large doors stepping into the dark courtyard. Ruby looked around before spotting a silhouetted figure sitting on a bench. Ruby walked twords the figure the first thing she noticed was the snow white hair of Weiss. "Weiss..." Ruby spoke up causing the young heiress to look twords the vampire. "R...Ruby what...what are you doing here?" Weiss asked. Ruby could sense that Weiss was tense. Ruby rubbed the back of her neck "I...I came to..... apologize...for everything I said and...did," Ruby said looking down. "I'm...sorry....I shouldn't slapped you....I shouldn't have yelled at you...you didn't deserve that....I was just so angry....I'm so sorry....I'm supposed to be the leader...I'm supposed to be your partner...your friend...and I hurt you...I'm....sorry," Ruby muttered as tears fell from her eyes to the concrete. She suddenly felt hands on both her shoulders Ruby looked up her eyes meeting Weiss's. "Hm you dummy...I'm not mad at you...your my friend...my partner...I shouldn't have mentioned your mom I know she's a touchy subject...it was childish of me to use her against you," Weiss said hugging Ruby tightly. Ruby smiled as she hugged Weiss back "thank you Weiss I'm glad your my friend," Ruby said smiling warmly. "Hm c'mon let's go get some sleep we have classes tomorrow," Weiss said leading Ruby twords the dorm. "Heh yeah...sleep," Ruby said akwardly.

The next morning

Ruby got out of bed before her team brushing her hair and her fangs. Ruby made sure her fangs were unnoticeable. Ruby exited the bathroom to see Weiss getting out of bed. "Morning weissy," Ruby chirped Weiss turned to Ruby with a warm smile. "heh weissy what happened to ice queen?" Weiss asked with a smirk. "I like weissy better it sounds cuter," Ruby explained. Weiss blushed slightly "o...oh um...ok I'll....allow it," Weiss stammered grabbing her clothes and walking into the shower. Ruby chuckled walking over to yang and Blake's bunk. Ruby grabbed two pots from under Weiss's bed banging them together "WAKEY WAKEY!!" Ruby shouted waking the black and yellow duo. "GAH!! What the hell Ruby!!" Yang shouted. "Gotta wake you up somehow," Ruby chirped. "C'mon we have to get ready for class," Weiss said stepping out of the bathroom in her uniform. "Ok ok..." Yang said hopping out of bad. "Hey Weiss wanna go get some food before class?" Ruby asked. Weiss sighed "ok why not," Weiss said. Ruby cheered hugging Weiss tightly "c'mon let's go!" Ruby cheered grabbing Weiss's hand using her semblance to get them to the cafeteria. When they got there Weiss's hair was a bit messed up "Ruby! What have I told you about using your semblance on me?!!" Weiss yelled with a stern face. "Heh not to..." Ruby mumbled rubbing the back of her neck. Weiss sighed "c'mon let's go," Weiss said walking past her. Ruby got some cookies while Weiss got a sandwich. Weiss sighed "all I ever see you eat is cookies I'm surprised you don't weigh one thousand pounds," Weiss said taking a bite out of her sandwich. Ruby giggled "well I fight alot of Grimm with a heavy syphe makes ya sweat," Ruby responded. Weiss smiled and took another bite of her sandwich.

Later that night
Weiss POV:

I laid in bed I couldn't fall asleep I kept wondering what Ruby was doing in Vale. I suddenly heard Ruby's bed squeak and a thud on the ground. I looked and saw Ruby putting on her clothes. I was going to ask her what she was doing ,but I decided to see what she was up to. I watched as she went to the window climbing out of it to the roof. I was confused "where is she going" I thought when she left I quickly put on my cloths. I climbed out the window using my glyphs to get off the roof. I saw Ruby walking to the airship dock I was about to yell to her. I stopped when I saw Ruby's body begin to morph into a bat. I froze in shock as I watched her fly away. "What...the hell..." I thought with wide eyes I quickly used my glyphs to follow her. I watched as she landed on the sidewalk a drunk man approached her "heEEyY GIrll *hic* WanNA cooOOme to My HOusE~" he slurred. Ruby looked at him for a moment before her eyes went red. The man's eyes went red as he passed out. Ruby pulled his collar away as fangs grew in her mouth. She dug her fangs in his neck sucking his blood. I stood there frozen in shock and fear "what the....hell...is Ruby... doing..." I thought as I took a few steps back stepping right onto a twig. It snapped I my heart dropped as I saw Ruby look at me with wide eyes. "W...Weiss...." She said with fear in her voice. "R...Ruby w...what are you...doing?" I asked. "I...I... I'll explain," Ruby wiped the blood away from her mouth. She lead me to a roof top she sat down patting the space next to her. I sat down next to her as she stared at the shattered moon. "I'll...start at the beginning..." She began. "When I was about five me and yang went out to play in the woods....I got lost and wandered through the woods for hours..." She continued. "A man offered to help me...he hypnotized me I fell unconscious...I woke up in a field and...I had these," she said opening her mouth pointing to her fangs. She pulled her collar away reveling two small holes on her neck. I noticed her ears were also pointed "I'm...not human...Weiss," she said in a small weak voice. I finally found my voice "what are you...?" I asked. She stayed silent for a moment before answering

                   "I'm a vampire,"
