Ruby's POV:

I sat in class listening to port tell one of his stories. "So boring...." I thought as I rested my head on my hand. I glanced to Weiss who was taking notes "hm..." I reach taking her hand under the desk. She turned to me a small blush growing on her face. I grin winking "dolt..." She whispered. After class we walk down the hall with yang and Blake "man Ports stories are sooo boring!" Yang said with her arms behind her neck. "C'mon yang it wasn't that bad," Blake said reading her book. "Are you reading filth again?!" I ask squinting my eyes. Blake blushes "no...." She lies. "Liar!" I yell but was cut off by my stomach growling. "Hungry...." I whine I realized I forget my blood back at our dorm room. I walk down the hall I feel like I'm being followed. I turn my head seeing no one "I'm probably just being paranoid..." I guess as I keep walking. Suddenly someone's hand covers my mouth pulling me into a empty hallway. The person threw me to the ground I look up seeing Cardin and his team. "What the hell do you want!?" I ask raising my voice. Cardin smirks moving out of the way as Neptune steps into view. A shiver runs through my spine as he pulls a knife from his pocket. I watch him like a hawk as he walks around me "w...what do you w...want..." I ask I can hear the fear in my voice. "I warned you about Weiss....she's mine...so I'm gonna punish you..." He says evilly holding the knife. I jump to my feet attempting to run but, I was stopped by Cardin pushing me back. Neptune lunges at me knife in hand I dodge he only grazed my cheek. The cut on my cheek dripped blood onto my jacket. Cardin holds me from behind as my heart races as Neptune walks twords me with a malicious smile. He holds the cold knife to my neck he stabs into my side. I tasted blood in my mouth as I coughed up a lot of blood. Cardin let go of me as I fell to the ground Neptune held my chin as I began to black out. "She's mine..." He whispered as I passed out from blood loss. I woke up to a bright light above me "ugh...where am I..." I wondered as I sat up. I yelped in pain as my side began to burn with pain. "God damn..." I groan as I clutch my side as tears fill my eyes. I realized my left eye was covered by something it was a eye patch. I pulled it off looking in the mirror I had a black eye. "Those Bastards..." I thought as I felt hunger. I look around the room no one was there I rub my good eye to wake up. I ring the nurse bell for the nurse. The nurse walks in "oh you're awake...how do you feel?" She asked. I smile "I feel fine but my side stings..." I mutter. "Oh I'll get you some pain killers..." The nurse said handing me some pain killers. "Thank you," I say taking the medication. "Bleh...gross" I thought as I swallow the pills. Suddenly a knock came from the door "do you want visitors?" The nurse asked. I nod with a small grin. The nurse opens the door Weiss walked in holding a bag of snacks. "Hello Mary I'm back how is r--" she cut herself off when she noticed me. "Hey ice queen..." I mumble tears filled Weiss's eyes as she ran to me hugging me tightly. "You're okay thank the gods!!" Weiss shouted hugging me tightly. I smiled as I hugged her back "I guessed you missed me..." I mutter. The nurse or Mary cleared her throat catching me and Weiss's attention. "Sorry to ruin the moment but, miss rose we have to take a few test so you can leave," Mary said picking up a clipboard. I nod as Weiss sits down in a chair next to my bed. "So you were attacked by Mr. Vastilias and team CRDL correct?" Mary asked "yes...they cornered me in a hallway...Cardin held me as Neptune stabbed my side..." I explained as I noticed Weiss furrow her eyebrows. Mary wrote what I said down "thank you I will inform headmaster ozpin," she said leaving the room leaving me and Weiss alone. "I was so worried about you..." Weiss whispered with sadness and worry in her tone. "I'm sorry I worried you...he came out of nowhere
...since I didn't have blood I wasn't strong enough to fight him off..." I said looking down. Weiss took my hand "I'm not mad I'm...I'm just happy you're okay..." She said with a small happy smile kissing my cheek. The door opened yang and Blake walked in "hey Weiss how is Ruby do....ing," she starred at me with wide eyes. A huge grin appeared on Yang's face as yang gave me a bone crushing huge. "Gah! Yang... you're... crushing me..." I whimper struggling to breath. Yang lets me go chuckling nervously "sorry sis I'm just happy you're okay..." Yang said patting my head. "How do you feel?" Blake asked I think for a moment before answering. "I feel fine... although my side burns like hell..."I say chuckling nervously rubbing the back of my neck. I groan as my head begins to pound painfully "Ruby are you alright?" Yang asked with a worried expression. "C...can I...have some water...please...." I groan holding my head. Yang gave me a glass of water I drank it quickly. My head still hurts as I feel a warm liquid drip down my nose. "Ruby your nose..." Blake pointed at my nose. I put my hand to my nose seeing blood on my nose. I begin to feel dizzy and nauseous I bolt up running to the bathroom. I puke into the toilet I feel dizzy and, my head feels even more painful. I stumble back into the main room everything begins to go black as I fall to the ground. "-BY!" I heard Weiss's voice yell before I stop hearing anything. I wake up again looking around seeing only Weiss. My vision is still a bit fuzzy "we..Weiss..." I mumble tiredly Weiss open her eyes "Ruby!" she yells pouncing on me hugging me. "Are you ok?" Weiss asked holding my cheeks. "I feel fine now...i'm not sure why I fainted..." I muttered as I held her hand. Weiss sighed in relief "i'm just glad you're okay...." Weiss mumbled. She looked into my eyes as she begins to lean in I close my eyes as I wait for the kiss. Before she is able to kiss me the door burst open "I heard Ruby's voice she's awake!" Yang yells as Weiss and I quickly pull away from each other. Yang and Blake seemed to notice how flustered we both were "oh~ are we interrupting something?~" Yang teased wiggling her eyebrows. I quickly retaliate by throwing a cushion at her face "YANG SHUT UP!!" I yell while Weiss buried her face in her hands. "So how do you feel rubes?" Yang asked taking a seat next to my bed. "Fine for now I...don't know what happened..." I mumble as I stare at my hands. I rub my eyes as I yawn "are you tiered?" Weiss asked placing her hand on my shoulder. "Yeah..." was all I could say "well we'll let you rest okay...we'll see you later," Yang said as they left the room leaving me alone. I laid back starring at the ceiling as I began to drift to sleep.

"bye mama!" a younger Ruby called to her mother.
"oh where are you off to?" the woman in white asked her daughter.
"Maya invited me into her club!" the small vampire cheered happily.
"Oh well in that case go have fun,"  Summer said waving as little Ruby walked the five minute walk to town. Ruby spotted Maya along with her friends. "Hey guys so where's this club?" Ruby asked with a wide smile. Maya shared a glance with her friends "c'mon we'll show you..." Maya said smirking. Maya and her friends lead Ruby down a ally Ruby began to grow confused when they stopped. "Why are you guys stopping...?" Ruby asked confused. Maya smirked "grab her!" she yelled as two of the boys grabbed Ruby. "Hey w...what are you...d...doing!?" Ruby stuttered. Maya pulled out a dog muzzle strapping it to Ruby's head "What did I do stop please!!" Ruby yelled trying to struggle free. "Did you really think i'd trust a blood sucker like you without a muzzle?" Maya asked kicking Ruby in the stomach with a evil smirk. "I would never be friends with a monster like you!" Maya yelled kicking Ruby once more. "P...please....stop you're h...hurting me..." Ruby pleaded clutching her stomach as her nose bleed. Blood began to leak from her mouth "pff what a weakling can't fight for yourself...pathetic...how are you the daughter of Summer Rose... what a pathetic loser..." Maya spat. Ruby's eyes filled with tears "I...I thought we were...friends..." Ruby said looking into Maya's eyes. "I will never be friends with a freak like you...you're no better than a Grimm..." Maya spat grabbing Ruby's hair punching her in the eye. "Lets go..." Maya said as they walked off.

I woke up from my nightmare I sat up rubbing my forehead. The door opened as Mary the nurse walked in. "oh how did you sleep miss rose?" Mary asked politely. "Fine..." I mutter "I was wondering can I leave...?" I ask rubbing my eyes. Mary smiles "of course...here are your cloths," she says handing me my cloths. I thank her as I change "thank you have a good day," Mary calls as I leave the infirmary. I walk to my dorm opening the door quietly. The first thing I see is zwei running to me barking happily. I smile scratching his ear "did you miss me bud...?" I asked he just barked in response. "Now where is Weissy?" I asked the small dog. "Right here," I heard Weiss's voice in front of me. I look up seeing her smiling face. "WEISS!" I yell happily tackling her into a hug "I missed you so much snow angel!" I shout happily. Weiss smiled stroking My short hair "I missed you too my flower..." Weiss whispered. I cuddled into her touch "where are Blake and Yang?" I asked confused. "They went to go get more dog food for zwei," Weiss said calmly hugging me. "Can we cuddle in bed please?" I ask. Weiss hums in approval lifting me up princess style. "Hey i'm supposed to be the prince in this relationship," I whine playfully. Weiss smirks putting me down "not this time petal," Weiss cooed laying down next to me cuddling close. I rested my chin on the top of her head. "I love you..." I whisper as I hold her tight. I felt Weiss smile "I love you too petal..." she whispered. I remember my dream about Maya "Weiss...you'll never leave me...right...?" I ask. "I'll never leave you Ruby...I promise..." She whispered back. I smile as I hold her close to me "good..." I whisper as I fall into blissful sleep.
