Maze:
Fuck!
Why did I hit him?
Why am I running?!
What the actual fuck is going on with me?!
The trees surrounding me are thick, trunks the size of a small car litter the area, with smaller, younger trees in between. Large branches shading the forest floor make it difficult to run, tree roots stem up from the ground tripping, snarling at my clothes. Bushes making me stop and go around them.
My eyesight has always been good. The lack of light in the forest and the tears in my eyes make it slightly harder to see. Allright... it's the tears. My eyes are fine.
The forest is quiet around me.
I'm definitely a city girl. Born and raised. I do know that when the woods are quiet there's a predator nearby though.
Fucking awesome. I look around frantically for a place to hide. Tears forgotten in the panic of the moment.
I don't know what tipped me off. Why I stopped at that moment. What transpired after I'll wonder for a long time why I'd been in that particular spot at that particular time.
I lunged for the nearest tree branch that looked like it could hold my weight. Pulling myself up and climbing higher. Climbing trees and trying not to make a sound is next to impossible. I do my best though as I race higher and higher. Heart in my throat as I scramble over branches.
The one under my foot broke off with a large snap. Glaring at the tree is doing me no good though. 'Traitor'. I nearly punch it.
The growls emanating from the forest floor has me frozen in place fist ready to smash into the bark.
Eyes shooting downward as terror rips through me.
Have I gone into someone else's territory?!
Wolves I don't know are circling the trunk. Snarls loud as their paws hit the forest floor softly.
The largest wolf turned his head upwards. The man below me slowly appearing as his form shifts. The dark of his hair as dark as his fur. Skin alabaster in comparison to the darkness of his hair. He's clean shaven. I almost didn't notice his nakedness at first, the grey of his eyes piercingly intelligent.
'Alpha' my mind tells me. Big. In every way. Oh I noticed his body now. Muscles ripple in the small amount of light cascading down on us. It's so dark in here that had I not had enhanced vision I wouldn't have made it this far.
That familiar twist in my guts has a moan ripping out of my mouth at the smell of him. Male, forest and wolf combined.
What the fuuuuuck?!
It's like my body wants to be taken.
Dominated.
He sniffed the air, eyes sharply taking in my almost prone form. I'm barely hanging onto the branches now as wave after wave of heat makes its course through me, bringing a need to the forefront that I haven't felt with anyone other than Jax.
"Come down little girl." His voice is deep, slightly raspy. It makes me wet just hearing it, so much so that I slowly began to rub myself on the branch I'm sitting on.
I have more control than this dammit.
"Or I can come and get you." He stated, reaching for the tree branch I'd had to jump to reach. He's tall enough that it's about an inch above his head.
Sounds of fighting erupt in the tree line. Snarls and the sound of tearing flesh reach me. I can't see through the branches what's going on but the sound has me frozen.
