Emily's POV

~dream~

I was walking around in a forest. I see a boy. He looks around my age, with blond hair and blue eyes. His skin was tan, but pale compared to someone like Tony and myself. He opened his mouth to say something, but a neigh came out. I was so confused.

"I'm sorry, what did you say?" I asked. The same thing happened, but I started to smell smoke.

~end of dream~

When I woke up, I smelled the smell of smoke. I ran out of my room, and both dad and Tony ran out of their rooms.

"Tony call 911, and tell them that we have a fire, Emily going to the barn and get the horses," Dad said. I sprinted down the stairs and outside. I left dad in the dust. I ran into the barn and saw a fire near the hay. I covered my mouth with my arm and went to get the horses. I took Dusty, and Sheba first. Dad came out and got Monty and Sandy. I went to India, but she neighed at me. I went for Thunder and Speedy, dad got Farmer and Midnight. This went on for a while. I got Apple and Apollo, he got Jack and Secret. The fire got bigger every time. I went for Quinn and he started to freak out.

"Easy boy," I said. I had to move my hand from my mouth. Smoke came into me. I started coughing. I took him outside, and dad took Cinnamon. I was coughing really bad. When the cold air came into my lungs, it felt better. I went to get to India, but dad held me back.

"It's too late." He said. I tried to run out of his grip, but he held me back. I heard sirens. What was the worse was, hearing the neighs from the barn. Tears streamed down my face. Tony ran outside, and he saw the destruction. He walked over to us. Dad hugged both of us.

"Go, go, go. Hook up the hose." Firemen said. They were too late. The three of us watched them put the fire out. The neighs were dying out. I looked over to Dusty, he was on the ground. The horses were surrounding him.

"Emily!!" I heard someone shout my name. I see Brad, John, Mark, Max, Ryan, Sam, and Ben jogging to me.

"Oh my," Sam said. He was staring at the barn. There was nothing left. Dad went to talk to the firemen. Tony was hugging me. I ended up falling to the ground.

"It'll be ok," Ryan said. He sat down next to me, wrapping his arms around my shoulders.

"We can help fundraise." Mark offered.

"Is Thunder ok?" Ben asked.

"Why don't you go see for yourself!" I snapped. Ben stepped back, holding his hands up in the surrender motion. I saw Mark and Max glared at him. Brad and John both slapped him. He walked over to Thunder. I looked over to the horses. Dusty let out a sad neigh. He then threw his head to the ground.

"Where's India?" Ryan asked. Even though I was crying badly when they came, it got worse after that question was asked. "Oh." He said. He pulled me into his body.

"I'm sorry," Brad said. He sat down next to me. I had my face in Ryan's chest, and Brad rested his head on my back. Mark, Max, Sam, John, and Tony all sat down. We were in this position all night. When morning came, my eyes were red and puffy, and my nose was red.

"Emily, I don't think you in the emotional state to go to school. Oh and all you boys that don't live here, your parents called, they said you can comfort your friend." Dad said. No one said anything. Most of them were asleep. Tony, Mark, and John were asleep. Max and Sam were just waking up. Ryan and Brad stayed up with me. Ben left after he made sure Thunder was ok. Dusty got up and walked over to me.

"Come on Dusty, lie down with us," Ryan said. Dusty lay down behind him. Ryan led into him, so did Brad. I still had my head on Ryan's chest.

"We'll get through this boy," I said to him. My voice cracked. I think we'll get through this.
