Dusty's POV
"Dad, I'm taking Dusty for a ride," Emily shouted. It was Sunday and I guess the boys don't come on Sundays. Expect for that Tony kid. I wonder why? She put the saddle and bridle on me. I'm getting sick and tired of these. This is the fourth time in a row that these were on me. She pulled me out of the pasture and lead the way.
"I hate people," I muttered. This Emily walked me out into a meadow. She sat down.
"India and I come here all the time. Dad calls it our meadow. India's and I. Were really close. Do you think we'll have a relationship like that?" She asked. She looked at me. I stared back. She got up and walked over to me. She went to pet my muzzle, but I moved my fave. She had a hurt look. The clouds were dark, but they were dark all day long. It thundered and started pouring. Emily put her hands over her head and started to run. I'm going to regret this. I neighed to her. She looked back at me. I motioned her to get on my back. She ran and climbed onto me. I went into a gallop and got us back to the ranch. She got off of me and pulled me into the barn. I never been in here. There were a lot of horses. She untacked me and led me into a stall next to a Dutch Warmblood. She then ran back into the house.
"I'm Farmer. That's Cinnamon, Sheba, Apple, Apollo, Midnight, Monty, Sandy, Thunder, Jack, Secret, and Quinn. Oh and that's India." The Dutch Warmblood said. Everyone neighed at their name. India just glared at me. Still mad about yesterday I see.
"How come I'm meeting you for the first time now?" I asked.
"Because they don't trust a wild mustang with tamed horses." Thunder said. I feel hurt. I'm not wild. It's called stubbornness. And I'm proud of it.
"Who's rider is Ben?" I asked.
"Mine. Why?" Thunder replied.
"Because he's dead meat," I said with a smile on my face. Thunder looked nervous. I saw India rolled her eyes. Then I saw her smile slightly. If Ben hurts Emily, he's gonna have to go through me. Wait, did I just think that?
