You decided to follow the path, You truly did believe you'd find Sally and so far this path was your only lead. You had seemed to walk for hours and got countless calls asking where you were but you didn't care all that mattered was finding Sally. Night started to come and you still refused to turn back but something about this forest seemed to unsettle you almost as if you need to hide or else. You had kept following till the path till you realized it lead to a fork in the road.
Right path >
You had taken the right Path and started walking down hill. Nothing changed you had walked and walked but suddenly the trail just ended at a lake of some sort. You walked over and looked in the water to see your reflection. You frantically looked left and right trying to see if there was a bridge anywhere or a path on the other side but alas, all you could see was running water with a few stones here and there. You had turned to head back to the fork in the road so you could go up the other path when you heard a stick break.
In that moment you don't know what took over you but your entire body froze. Every alarm in your body told you something wasn't right but you still turned and you almost fainted at what you saw. Some white creature standing on all fours staring at you with life less eyes it looked like a human that got run over by a car or even a train. (It's the rake just to let you know) You and the creature stared at each other until the silence was interrupted by a bird flying by.
The creature launched forward with every meaning to attack you but you dove out of the creature way in the nick on time. You tried to get up but sadly things didn't look to well as the creature had already gotten up and was charging right back for you. You weren't as fast this time and the hoodie you were wearing had gotten torn. You tried to get up but yet again fate didn't seem to be on your side today since the creature was already right in front of you and this time you knew there was no way to avoid it. You looked around frantically and gave yourself two options,
Throw yourself in the river or accept your fate and you knew damn well you weren't going to die because of this thing so you did the only thing you could do and you jumped into the river and let the stream carry you.
The stream was calm at first lightly carrying you down;m, but of course Mother Nature was a pain and the rapids started to get faster and before you knew it you where crashing into every rock imaginable struggling to keep your eyes open but with one finally hit to the back of a rock your body had failed you and completely shut down.
You had woken up in your bed it was morning. You checked the time and it was 2:45 PM Saturday. You blinked but then remembered what happened and ran downstairs to see your parents/guardians. They looked at you worriedly asking you questions along the lines of,
"Where were you!?"
"You realize how much danger you were in!?"
"Why weren't you answering your phone!?"
You faded it out like white noise thinking back to last night about what you saw in the woods and the path along with that creature. After your parents/guardians lecture you went back to where you saw that path except it was gone. You searched frantically but it was gone. You cried and cried thinking you'd never see sally again and that maybe, just maybe you could've changed what happened but how......You ended up going back home and ever since that day you stopped looking for sally you completely gave up and lived your normal life, but every once in a while you'd go back to that forest looking for that path but would never find it.
You go Left in the fork in the road >
You decided to go up hill to the left the moon shines brightly as you walked down the path. After an hour or so of walking you spotted something up ahead a field full of flowers. The path ended at a field full of flowers you stood in awe and amazement at how beautiful it all looked. That was when your eyes landed on a little brown haired girl sitting in the middle of the field back faced to you picked flowers. You recognized them in almost an instant as tears swelled up in your eyes.
