You didn't like walking home alone when the town was dark so you allowed Nicole to come along. You normally would be okay walking home alone but lately strange things have been happening in town so you don't like being alone as much after dark.

You and Nicole started to walk towards your house, which wasn't to far from the diner only about a two mile walk. You and Nicole stayed in mostly silence as you both walked to your house but something seemed wrong. You kept looking back at Nicole and seeing her looking in all type of directions and her body was constantly tense since you left the diner.

"Nicole is everything alright you seem tense?" You didn't want to panic her anymore then she already seemed to be but she was freaking you out. It seemed she took a moment to understand what you asked because she just stared at you and stopped walking. You stopped as well turning to look at her. "Nicole?"

"Oh sorry, Yes I'm fine I just have this odd feeling we're being watched." You breathes out of sigh of relief that she finally answered. You nodded your head understand, it was pretty late and Nicole always did have this Paranoid side of her outside of work. You and Nicole started to approach your house when Nicole suddenly made a mad dash to your door grabbing you in the process as she quickly dragged you to the front door.

You didn't have enough time to process anything besides the fact Nicole ripped your house keys off of you and unlocked the door before throwing you both inside. You lost your valence by the force of the shove as Nicole seemed desperate to lock the door.

"Nicole what the bloody hell is going on!" Nicole looked at you and then the window as she ran to it and tried to look outside. She was breathing heavily and way beyond tense at this point. "Nicole calm down please what the hell is going on!" You hates yelling at her but this was getting out of hand and you didn't know what was happening.

"Y/N there was someone out there they had on a mask and they were following us I turned around and I saw them duck behind one of the other houses!" Nicole rambled. You sighed you knew nicole for freaking out about many things but you've never seen it happen like this before. It somewhat concerned you since she seemed to get more and more anxious by the minute.

"Hey calm down. Are you sure it wasn't just some kid in a costume it is nearing Halloween so it could've been someone playing a prank." You tried to calm Nicole down. You weren't even wrong kids normally always did this type of stuff. They would dress up early and go around scaring random people at night sometimes not even intentionally. Nicole seemed to be convinced though that it wasn't a kid in a costume since she keep frantically looking out the window.

This went on for a while of you trying to calm her down only for Nicole to get more and more freaked out and panicked. After the third attempt you caved and just laid down on the couch, maybe if you took a nap she'd be back to normal when you woke up. After working all day and eating at the diner it wasn't hard to fall asleep.

You eyes slowly started to open as daylight hit your face. It seemed morning and arrived due to the fact the sun has woken you from your peaceful slumber. Your mind still foggy you lifted your head up a bit and looked around the room. It didn't take long for you to spot Nicole asleep on the floor by the front door. You slowly dragged yourself off the couch to grab Nicole. You laid her down on the couch instead as you went to make yourselves some
Breakfast. You opened the freezer and grabbed pancakes considering those were Nicole's favorite you'd make them.

It didn't take long to finish making the pancakes considering you knew how to make them like the back of your hand due to how many times Nicole requests them. You went over to grab some plates when you stopped at the entry to the kitchen stood the same man you saw yesterday with the ski mask. He just stared at you no movement was made just staring. You slowly started to realized that this was probably one of Nicole's pranks since after what happened last night she's now trying to make a joke out of it.

"Ha, ha very funny Nicole you really scared me now take off that mask I made pancakes for us." You went back to the cabinets to grab a few plates turning your attention away from 'Nicole' as you put strawberry's and whipped cream with a few blueberry a on Nicole's pancake and put (whatever toppings you want) on your pancake.

You turned back around to see 'Nicole' gone. You laughed a bit at her prank as you went into the living room to see her just like how she was before. You shook your head thinking she was really actually trying to prank you. You placed the plates down on the coffee table as you went and shook Nicole awake.

"Yo, meat for brains wake up I made pancakes and after that prank you tried to do don't even pretend your just waking up." You said as Nicole stirred awake rubbing her eyes. She instantly looked at the pancakes and then back at Y/N.

"And this is the reason I come over your house you make me pancakes!!!!" You laughed Nicole never failed to be ecstatic at the sight of pancakes. You both talked for a bit while she mostly stuffed her face full of pancakes.

"I swear though how did you fall back asleep so quickly after pulling that prank and where did you put all those clothes you had on." You joked but Nicole didn't laugh she stared at you for a bit confused. "What prank I was asleep you physically woke me up?" You were going to call her out on lying when you notices the pure confusion on her face. Then it hit you like a rock she truly didn't know what you were talking about which meant...that's wasn't Nicole in the ski mask.

Without saying another word you grabbed Nicole and ran out of the house and quickly made your way to the place you both worked at. Nicole didn't have enough time to question anything nor did she have to. With one look she knew what the situation was as you both made a mad dash to your work place.

"Okay, so someone was in your house and you assume they were me. Which I don't blame you for since that's more believable then some random psycho in a mask broke into my house and decided to stare at you as You made pancakes." Nicole seemed to be trying to reason and figure out the situation.

"Yes for the last time it might of been that guy you freaked out about last night. Probably got in through the back door." You explained you were still in a shock that some random man decided to come into your house and just stare at you as you made pancakes and then vanish.

You instantly moved out of that house and in with Nicole after that incident. If he got in once what will stop him from getting in again. You weren't going to take the risk.
