(It's finally out)
You had just gotten home from work when a storm rolled in. It was calm at first pretty much just a shower of rain till an hour later while cooking. The rain was now pouring heavily and hitting the window like bullets not to meantion every time thunder game the ground seemed to shake a bit. You didn't understand why the weather was so bad the news was certain it would be sunny all week.
You tried to just focus on cooking but with the constant blinding flashes of light it was pretty difficult. Thankfully you hadn't lost power....yet. You knocked on wood or not jinx yourself as you went back to cooking some pasta. (if you don't like pasta change it) you had just finished and we're now just waiting for it to boil.
You walked over to your living room to watch some TV in the meantime when a huge struck of lighting lit up the sky. You might of been seeing things but you could've sworn you saw something outside on the pavement. You stared out there for a while trying to determine if you did see anything. It was to dark to tell so you started to pull away from the window when another flash of lighting broke and you saw clear as day a black cat on the pavement.
You were shocked to see a cat outside on the pavement just sitting there in the rain. You felt almost sorry for it as you headed to the front door to try and receive the cat from the outdoors. You reached for the handle but then stopped you didn't know why but something didn't feel right about going to get the cat. You looked outside the window then back at the door before deciding...
