The reason why Heavenly Emperor told Lian Song to accompany Cheng yu was because the King of wing tribe has arrived and he's with Luo Yi, the man who will be wed to Cheng yu.
Since Lian song walked out from the banquet, he totally forgot what his father reminded him.
So he immediately went back to the grand hall but before he can enter the hall, he saw his father speaking with the King of Wing Tribe.
"Don't tell me---" His eyes widen as he realize what their agenda is.
He walked towards them to eavesdrop.
"Where is she?" The king asked his father.
"She'll be here in a moment." His father answered.
He knows that they're talking about marriage alliance, so he interrupted them.
"I can't let you meet him." He said in his mind.
"Greetings, father. Greetings to the King of Wing Tribe." – lian song
"Where is she? I told you to accompany her." His father said.
"On the way here, she said that she's not feeling well and suddenly lost her consciousness." That's only his excuse.
"Is that so? Let her rest. We'll be visiting again soon." The King of Wing tribe commented.
"I should leave now." He bowed.
He immediately looked for Cheng Yu and saw him talking to an immortal.
"No, no, no!!" He screamed inside his head.
He ran fast towards them. He can't see the man's face since he was facing his back.
"Who is he?" He asked Cheng yu.
"Why are you here?" She asked.
"Greetings, Grandfather Lian Song." The man turned around.
He laughed in relief. "High God Wen Chang, is that you? You're too polite. You can call me by name."
"I—" – wen chang
"We have to leave. Excuse us." He told Wen Chang.
"Where are we going?" Cheng yu asked him.
"I'll tell you after we manage to leave the hall." He grabbed her hands.
Now that they reached the pavilion outside the hall. She removed his hands and looked at him.
"Why did you bring me here?" – cheng yu
"I don't want my father to see you." – lian song
"Why?" – cheng yu
"Don't ask anymore." – lian song
"You're being weird! You don't have the right to control me." – cheng yu
"Just follow me. Don't go back there." –lian song
"Tell me the reason why I shouldn't!!" – cheng yu
"It's because you will be engaged to someone else!" He shouted at her.
"W-what?" – cheng yu
"You will be wed to the Crown Prince of Wing tribe." – lian song
"So what?" – cheng yu
"What do you mean?" – lian song
"Wedding? It sounds great. If that wedding would make you disappear from my sight, then I'm more than willing." She teased him.
"So you're tired of me? I'll leave now, don't worry." – lian song
"It's a joke. Don't take it to heart." – cheng yu
"Jokes are half-meant." He whispered.
After the banquet, Cheng yu stayed at her mansion to rest. She had been thinking about the marriage alliance.
If she would be given a chance, she'd rather fix her relationship with Lian Song than marrying a stranger. But she knows that she cannot defy the Heavenly emperor's order.
"If only I have the courage to tell him that I still love him, I would've confessed everything." She said with a sigh.
Now she wonders what he's doing... "Is he angry at me?"
"Ahhh. Why do I have to say such things? Disappear from my sight? Argh! Stupid woman!"
She slapped herself again and again. After arguing with herself, she fell asleep.
She dreamt of her past.
