900 years had passed after Dong Hua purified the Chasm. He was in coma and had to send his shadow to Fanyin Valley for recuperation.

Bai qian has become the Heavenly Empress. Fengjiu failed to attend the celebration.

Lian Song heard Cheng yu asked Si Ming, "Did you see her?"

"No, my lord. I heard something came up in their kingdom that is why she was unable to attend the ceremony." Si Ming answered her.

Lian Song walked towards them and said, "Love moves in mysterious way. But fate has its way as well." He took it from the book he was reading.

After he said the line, Cheng yu stepped on his foot and yelled at him, "You're heartless!"

"Am I?" he whispered.

He then left the celebration and went to Qing qiu. He wanted to visit Fengjiu to see how she's doing.

"Have you been well?" he asked Fengjiu.

"I'm fine, Third Price. What made you come here?" she asked in return.

"I just want to see if you're well."

"If you're worried about me, how about telling me stories about him?" She was referring to Dong Hua.

His expression suddenly changed. "You shouldn't live in the past. I shall take my leave now." He said.

"He's really weird." Fengjiu said in her mind.

Lian song arrived at his palace and saw Cheng yu waiting outside.

"Why are you here?" He asked her. He was not in mood to entertain her.

"Where have you been? Si Ming was worried and asked me to check what you're doing. But the servants told me that you left." Chengyu explained.

"I'm okay. You should go. I want to rest."

These days, his health has been deteriorating. He sometimes look pale. Sometimes his head aches.

He laid on his bed and started reminiscing moments with other immortals.

He still remembers when Ye Hua asked him for advice. That time, Bai Qian became an immortal and Ye hua had named her Susu.

Back then, he told Ye Hua to use the Knight in Shining armor technique.

"You can try releasing a beast to attack her and then save her. When that happens, she will treat you as her savior."

"Oh. Is that why lord cheng yu fell for you?" Ye Hua teased him.

But in the back of his mind, he wanted to shout and tell Ye Hua not to joke about them.

He walked out and Cheng yu was then sent to mortal realm to receive her trial.

It was said that Jiuchongtian had a rule where immortals had to get rid of their seven emotions and six desires. However, this rule only applied to those not born from fairy births. Ascension to divinity was already anomalous.

Seven emotions – joy, anger, sorrow, worry, fear, grief, and fright. Six desires – desires which originate from the six roots: eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, and mind.

She was sent to the mortal realm without her memories and it was Si Ming who wrote her fate in the mortal realm. He included same scenarios where she will experience losing everything including her child. In this way, the trial would be aligned to everything she had to let go.

The trial do not have time limitation.. She cannot ascend and come back in Sky kingdom if she failed to let go of her seven emotions and six desires.

Lian song begged Si Ming to let him read what her fate is. He wanted to help her, so he made Si Ming drink wine to talk. After knowing the content of her book of fate, he immediately went there to guide her.

She doesn't know him and he pretended to be a good friend to her.
