The next day...

He was walking around her (chengyu) mansion when he heard people laughing. He walked passed her gate and saw him talking to Luo Yi.

"What a lucky man." He said.

He knocked on the gate to interrupt them.

"Please excuse me for a while. I have something to discuss with lord cheng yu." He told them.

"Come in." – cheng yu

"XiaoYi, I'll talk to you later." She winked at him.

Lian Song saw what she did and immediately leave the place.

"Lian song!" she called him. "What happened to him?"

"I do not know. I guess you failed to execute your plan, again?" He laughed at her.

"I was caught off-guard. I didn't know that he'll visit my mansion today. I planned to visit him. I should follow him Stay here."

She looked for him everywhere, but he was nowhere to be found.

She went back to her mansion crying.

"The Heavenly Emperor ordered us to help you with the decorations of the ceremony. lord cheng yu was also ordered to help you finish the design and programme, my lord." One of the servants answered.

His eyes widen. No, this can't be.

"I'm here. What would you like me to do, Third prince?" She asked him politely.

"If you're only forced to help, you don't have to. I don't want to be a burden to you, I can handle this." He answered.

"Plus, someone might misunderstood us." He referring to Luo Yi.

"Set aside personal things. I am here to help, and it was the Heavenly emperor who ordered me to help you since I am in charge with the Jade Pool." She told him with cold eyes, but deep inside, it hurts her because he's pushing her away.

In the middle of ceremony, Lian song suggested to Heavenly emperor to let Cheng yu showcase her skills in lotus yielding.

She started yielding it but her powers cannot control it anymore. The lotus spirit became wild and it attacked the immortals.

The ceremony was ruined because of what happened.

Lian song then pulled her and they kneeled together. "It's my fault, father. I insisted on letting her summon the lotus spirit to bloom. I shall be punished."

When cheng yu attempted to defend him, he stared at her and signalled her to stop and let things as it is.

"You shall not leave your palace as punishment. Go reflect on yourself." – Heavenly emperor

It created a rumour when he defended her. Saying that they're still keeping in touch with each other, but he ignored it when Si Ming informed him.
