Vol. 2 Ch. 4 New Outfit

Coco's POV

While Y/N was in the changing room to try on the 8th outfit, my Scroll went off. I saw a message from Velvet, so I answered it.

I chuckled a little as I put my Scroll back in my pocket. Just then, I heard Y/N say, "Hey, Coco. I'm ready to come out now." I replied, "Okay, let's see the outfit." He walked out and the outfit looked perfect on him. I smirked and said, "That one looks perfect on you." He smiled and said, "Really?" I nodded and said, "Yeah, it suits you." Then I paid for the outfit and the two of us headed back to Beacon.

Velvet's POV

I was sitting on my bed in the dorm when the door opened and Coco walked in and said, "May I present the new Y/N!" Then Y/N walked in wearing a new outfit that actually suited him really well.

I complimented him and said, "You look really nice in that outfit." He blushed slightly and said, "Thanks, Velvet." Yatsu spoke up and said, "By the way, while you two were out, Professor Ozpin said that a fifth bed for Y/N wouldn't arrive for at least another week or two. But he gave us a futon for Y/N to use until then." Y/N smiled and I said, "Okay, I'm hungry for dinner. Is anyone else?" Just then, we all heard Y/N's stomach growl. He gained an embarrassed look on his face and said, "I guess I am." I smiled and said, "Well, let's go to the cafeteria and get something to eat."

Your POV

I followed Velvet to the cafeteria to get some food. When we sat down and I started eating, Velvet looked at me and said, "So, Y/N, how's the food?" I smiled and said, "It's amazing. It's been so long since I've had a good meal." She smiled and said, "Well, I'm glad you like it." I looked at her and noticed that a group of 4 guys approaching Velvet. Right as one of them reached to grab Velvet's ears, I activated my semblance. Then I got up, jumped across the table, punched the guy in the stomach, and pushed his buddies backwards. I deactivated my semblance and watched as the 4 of them went flying back. I turned to them and said, "Leave my friend and I alone!" They backed off and left in a hurry. Velvet turned to me and said, "Y/N? H-how did you do that so fast?" I sat down next to her and said, "My semblance allows me to briefly slow down time. I saw them reaching for your ears, so I did something before they could." Velvet smiled and hugged me. I sat there in shock. The only people who had ever hugged me before were my parents, so for someone else to do that caught me off guard. When Velvet let go, we went back to eating and I could've sworn that she had  scooted closer to me, but I just assumed that I was imagining things.

After we finished eating, Velvet and I went back to the dorm. When we got there, Coco said, "Velvet, I heard that Cardin showed up in the cafeteria while you were in there. Are you okay?" Velvet smiled and said, "I'm perfectly fine. Y/N actually stopped them before they could do anything." Coco turned to me and said, "You did?" I nodded and Coco gave me a quick hug and said, "Thanks.  Now I know that you'll be perfect for our team." I nodded and yawned. Then I said, "I'm tired. I'm going to go change in the bathroom." They nodded and I went to the bathroom and changed into my new sleepwear, which was a tank top with my emblem on the front and a pair of sweatpants. Then I laid down on the futon and fell fast asleep.
