Dream Flashback

I was back in the facility. The men were attaching injector needles all over my body. Then I heard Dr. Tannen say over the intercom, "Alright, this test is to see how much Fire Dust that Subject 427 can be injected with before losing consciousness. Commencing injections." I felt the needles stick into me and felt an extreme burning sensation spread throughout my body. It felt like my entire body was on fire. I started to scream and cry from the excruciating pain.

Velvet's POV

I was woken up by the sounds of something moving around and someone crying softly. I opened my eyes and saw Y/N tossing and turning on his futon in his sleep. I noticed that he was crying and slightly whimpering. I heard him muttering in his sleep, saying, "Please make it stop! It hurts so much!" My eyes widened as I realized that he was having a nightmare about something that happened to him at the place where we found him. I hopped out of my bed and rushed over to him. I woke him up and said, "It's okay, Y/N. It was just a dream. That's in the past. You're okay now. You're safe now."
I wrapped my arms around him and he cried into my shoulder. I started to softly stroke his cat ears, as I said in a quiet and soothing voice, "Y/N. It's okay. It's over now. You're safe." He slowly calmed down and fell back asleep. I decided that I'd stay next to him in case he had another nightmare. Eventually, I fell asleep.

I was woken up by Coco, who looked at me and quietly pointed to the door. I nodded in understanding, knowing that she meant that she wanted to talk with me in the hallway. I carefully got up without waking up Y/N and followed Coco out of the dorm. After she closed the door behind us, she said, "Do you mind explaining to me why you were sleeping with Y/N?" I sighed and said, "I was woken up last night by him crying and whimpering in his sleep. I think Y/N has a decent case of PTSD from what he went through. I realized that he was having a nightmare about something that happened to him, so I woke him up and calmed him down. Eventually he went back to sleep, so I decided to stay by his side in case he had another nightmare. I must've fallen asleep as well." Coco nodded and said, "I see. Well, in that case, I think you should ask him if he wants to sleep in your bed tonight."

I looked at her shocked and said, "What?!" Coco put up her hands and said, "Now hear me out. If he says yes and doesn't have any nightmares tonight, then he might be able to adjust to being at Beacon a little bit better." I nodded and said, "Yeah, you're right." She smiled and said, "Now let's get the others up and get some breakfast."
