Vol. 2 Ch. 6 First Full Day At Beacon

Your POV

I was woken up by Velvet and she said, "Good morning, Y/N." I smiled and said, "Good morning, Velvet." She smiled and said, "Are you hungry?" I nodded and said, "Yeah." She said, "Get dressed and we'll go get some breakfast." I smiled and went to the bathroom to change. When I came out, Velvet and I headed to the cafeteria. While we were walking, Velvet said, "Hey, Y/N, about last night, I was wondering about something." I looked at her and said, "Yeah?" Velvet said, "I was wondering if you wanted sleep in my bed with me. I'm curious if you'll sleep better and not have any nightmares tonight if you sleep with me." I stopped, looked at her, and said, "Really? You'd do that for me?" Velvet turned to me and said, "Of course, Y/N." I blushed and said, "Thanks, Velv." She smiled and said, "No problem, Y/N." Then we continued on our way to the cafeteria.

As we ate, Yatsuhashi approached us and said, "Good morning, Velvet. Good morning, Y/N. How are you two this morning?" Velvet smiled and said, "I'm doing fine, Yatsu." I spoke up and said, "Yatsu? I thought your name was Yatsuhashi?" Yatsuhashi smiled and said, "It is. Some people, like Velvet, call me Yatsu for short." I nodded and said, "Ohh. Well, I'm doing good, Yatsu." He nodded and said, "That's good to hear. Anyways, since you asked us to help you get stronger, I was wandering if you wanted to start later this morning." I thought about it for a second and replied, "That would be wonderful." He nodded and left.

After we finished eating, Velvet and I headed to the training room. Yatsu was already there waiting when we got there. Velvet said, "Hey, Y/N. I have something that I need to do right now, so I'll see you later." I nodded and said, "Okay." Then she said, "And Yatsu, try not to hurt him." He smiled and said, "Hey, you know I'm gentle." She smiled and said, "I know. See you two later." Then she left. I turned to Yatsu and he said, "Okay, so first, I want to see how much I have to work with. I want to know which areas need more work and improvement." I nodded and said, "Okay." He said, "To start, I want to see how well you can control your aura." I nodded and focus my aura, making my body gain a light blue glow around it. Yatsu smiled and said, "Very good. Now I'd like to test your hand-to-hand combat." I nodded and got into a fighting stance.

After a few hours, Yatsu said, "Okay, I think that's good enough for today. We definitely improved your hand-to-hand combat. Tomorrow, we'll work on sparring and weapon combat." I nodded and said, "That sounds good." Yatsu smiled and said, "Go get some rest. You deserve it." I nodded and said, "Thanks, Yatsu." He smiled and said, "Not a problem, Y/N."

As I changed into my sleepwear, I thought to myself, I think that I may have gotten feelings for Velvet. She's so nice and sweet. But I don't know how to tell her. I finished changing and left the bathroom. I saw Velvet sitting on her bed in her pajamas and I went over to her. She noticed me and said, "Hey, Y/N." I looked at her and said shyly, "Hey, Velvet. Are you sure that you're okay with this?" She smiled warmly and replied, "Of course I am. I want you to feel safe and move on from what happened to you. I care about you.... as a teammate." I nodded and said, "Okay." I laid down on her bed and she laid down next to me. I felt her lay up against me and say, "Good night, Y/N." I yawned and said, "Good night, Velv." I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.

I hope you all enjoyed this chapter. I know that I'm taking a while to write each chapter, but I'm doing my best. It's a little harder since the last couple fanfics have been going with the show and already planned events. This book is all from scratch.
