Saving Georgina Potter ~Charlie Weasley~ under editing

Chapter 2

There was a long silent pause in the room, whilst Georgina and Sirius turned their heads to look at Minerva, both shocked over what just came out of her mouth. Georgina was shocked because well just what? And sirius was shock because that was not the plan they had discuss when they talked about being up the subject. Minerva however just took a sip of her tea not caring about how the others where looking at her, she knew Sirius was mad she just straight out told the girl, but she couldn't see why they had to jump through hurdles to tell her the truth. Minerva has raised Georgina, and she knew that the more you avoid a topic the madder she got, so just best get it out of the way.

"What? What do you mean? Petunia and Vernon are Harry's legal guardians." Georgina stated, looking at the older woman with utter confusion.

"Before you're parents died, they made a will, I was to be your guardian, until you turned 17, then you would become Harry's." Sirius said, looking at the girl with guilt in his eyes, not that his face showed it, it however had a sad smile upon it, one meant for he's best friend. "Dumbledore doesn't get to tell you what to do with Harry no more, he's got no legal ground."

"This might sound crazy, but do I want to fight Dumbledore on this." Georgina asked Minerva, looking at her for what to do. "Like, will he make a big fuss, I know what I'm getting myself into, I know the risk, I've always been willing to take it. But if I make a claim to the guardianship of Harry, it's not going to cause major problems, will it?"

"You need to think what's best for you and Harry." Sirius said, looking at her with pleading eyes. "We will be here to help, but the choice is yours." Georgina looked to the woman who raised her, knowing that if she didn't think it was a good idea, she wouldn't have brought Sirius here.

"Okay I'll do it, but can he stay here, like is he able to go to hogwarts and live here. I mean, Romania is out of the school zone." G rambled, starting to think about having her brother back, and now she won't feel so weird hiding true herself from everyone. But why was she arguing against it so much, she wanted to be apart of Harry's life for forever, she should be happy, yet apart of her felt like as soon as she goes to collect Harry, he will be taken from her again, and this time for good.

"Once a student is accepted or going to hogwarts, it doesn't matter where you live, as long as you can get them to platform 9 3/4 on the first of September." Minerva said, looking at the girl, as if to say, she would fight to keep her student.

"Okay, well what do we got to do." She asked, looking excited for the first time in this conversation. Sirius also too began to look happy, like he could be able to fix something, something that he broke.

After the conversation, the adults started talking about what to do, they made a plan to inform the ministery the next day, and then afterwards they would pick up Harry Potter from his aunts and uncle place. They also discuss Sirius staying with the potters, tho he would have to sleep on the couch when Harry is home from school, but Sirius said that it would be much better than sleep under a bench in the form of padfoot. Minerva sat quietly whilst the two hash out what they where going to do, and discussing how they were going to raise Harry, that was until they were talking about how they where going to let Harry know.

"You can let him know now" Minerva spoke, whilst pulling a piece of parchment out of her bag. "Sign this." She said as she passed the form across to G. G took a moment to read the form, before a big smile came across her face. Perfect, was the only thing she said before she signed. Harry was going to have the best year of his life, new family, getting away from the Dursley's, and visitation rights to hogsmeade.
