Pony's POV

I walked out of my room preparing to do my usual wake up call for Sophie. I opened her door and froze at what I saw. Johnny was in her bed, arm wrapped around her while she laid on top of him. I closed the door quietly. My heart seemed to have sunk into my stomach. I should have just asked her out a few days ago like I planned and that could be me. I felt tears try and escape but i blinked them away. I walked downstairs and began cooking breakfast since I was the first one up.

Sophie's POV

I woke up to Johnny next to me. It was 6:45 and the sun shone bright through the window. I turned around and looked at a peacefully sleeping Johnny. I smiled remembering the events that took place last night.  I slowly got up and changed into black and white checkered pants, a tight black shirt and black boots (Imagine a cute outfit cause thats what it is lol) I shook Johnny lightly. He groaned but opened his eyes.

"Mornin sleeping beauty" He smiled and rubbed his eyes. He sat up and got changed into his clothes from yesterday.

"You hungry?" He nodded and we walked downstairs. Darry and Soda were sitting at the table while Pony seemed to be finishing up breakfast.

"Mornin Ponyboy" I smiled at him and snatched a waffle. He gave me a half assed smile. I frowned but sat down next to Johnny.

"So Sophie, you and Johnny sharing beds now?" Darry wiggled his eyebrows. Soda looked at us with "Wait huh" look.

"Y-yea we--we're dating" Johnny's face flushed pink. My own cheeks heated up and I looked down.

"Oh" Both Soda and Pony said with sad looks on their faces. I was about to say something when Two-Bit and Steve busted through the door, Dal on their tail.

"HIDE US" They came running into the kitchen hiding behind Darry.

"What happened" I laughed once I looked at Dallas. He had egg all over him

"Oh come on Winston! Go take a shower you're tracking egg everywhere"

"Once I get out I'm coming for you two" He then stormed off into the bathroom.

We ate breakfast silently. Soda and Pony kept looking at me but every time we would make eye contact they would divert their eyes quickly. I wonder whats up with them. I'll ask later. We ended up leaving before Dally got out so that was great for Two-Bit.

"There is more socs than greasers" I said once we pulled into the parking lot. Pony nodded but didn't look at me.

"Well see you loser kids later" Two-Bit ran off into some group of greasers. I turned to Johnny.

"Show me the way my friend" I smiled and took his hand. Pony walked behind us not saying a word.

"I-I'll see you guys later" He then wandered off. I frowned and hoped him and I had at least one class together. We went to the main office and grabbed my schedule. I smiled when I saw I had gym, art and math with Johnny.

"I-I'm not very smart in math. Science is more my thing" I giggled and nodded.

"Its ok we all have our weaknesses"
