"Keep an eye out for red hair" I say walking up a ramp with Ash right behind me. "Wait are we looking for Kat or Michael" Ashton asks. I freeze trying to think of an answer to the question. "Either one" I say continuing to walk up the ramp. We walk up another ramp and down some stairs. We then walk up another flight of stairs. "We got you now!" I hear from behind me. I turn around to see Michael and Kat hop over one of the walls and point their guns at us. "Not if we get you first" I say dodging a laser "We?" Michael says and stops running. "Ya" Ashton comes out from the corner and shoots Michael. "Shit!" Kat says and she starts running. I do a quick ninja roll and shoot her right in the shoulder sensor. "Yeah!" I say highfiving Ash.
"Wait let's recap so Cal and Mika are on a team, Mikey and Kat are on a team, you and I are on a team, and Luke is alone?" Ash ask me as we walk around the arena looking for people. "Ya, that's what it looks like" I say turning a corner with caution. "Just how it's supposed to be" Ashton says putting an arm around me. I take his arm off of me. "What do you mean 'how it's supposed to be' " I ask looking at him with a cocked eyebrow. "Well who didn't see Kat and Michael ending up together? Mika and Cal had some kind of click I guess. You and I well I don't know what's happening there" he says looking at me. "Alright well we should find some more people ya?" I say trying not to get into an awkward moment. "Uh ya for sure I heard something coming from that way let's hit there" Ash says as he makes his way over to the west side of the arena. I follow.
*near the end of the game*
*Beep Beep Beep* *Beep Beep Beep* we hear the alarm sound which notify's us that the game is almost over and we need to head back to the start. "Cmon lets get out of here!" I yell to Ash. We start to run but I trip and twist my ankle since I can't run in heels. "Ow my ankle!" I yell as I hold my ankle in pain. "Shit Sam!" Ash says. He takes off his heels and picks me up bridal style. I lean my head onto his chest as he runs. I totally forget about my hurt ankle and focus on his toned stomach and calm breathing patterns and- holy shit do I like Ashton?
