THREE MONTHS LATER

Sam’s POV

“Thank you all so much! Ya’ll are a great audience! We love you Toronto!” I say after we finish our set. “Are ya’ll ready to hear 5sos?” I say into the mic. A loud cheer comes from the audience. “I don’t think they heard us” Kat says into the mic looking towards Mika and I. “We said, are you ready to hear 5sos?!” Mika yells into the mic. A louder cheer comes from the audience. “Well here they are!” I say and Ashton, Luke, Michael, and Calum run onto the stage. “Hello Toronto!” Calum says into the mic and everyone cheers. “Aren’t these lovely ladies talented?” Michael says and the crowd cheers which puts a smile on my face. Mika, Kat, and I exit the stage and let the boys put on their show.

Hearing the boys play reminds me of what happened three months ago.

I ran away from the house, far away, to the other side of town. It got really dark and I heard someone call my name.

It was Kat.

I called her name and she pulled up infront of me in a car. Kat told me that she’s been looking for me everywhere and that I needed to go home. I didn’t want to but I knew I had to so I got in the car with her. We drove back to the house and nobody else was there. Kat and I sat on the couch with some tea and she told me that Ashton started cutting and they were at the hospital. I couldn’t take the pain of him cutting so I left and stayed with Lacey from then till now so that I didn’t have to see Ashton but I could still practice with Kat and Mika. To this day, I still don’t know who the girl kissing Ashton was or why he did it.

My feelings toward Ashton are confusing me and I really don’t like it. I don’t know if I still love him or I hate him.

I listen to the whole concert up to the last song. They finish and start talking. I don’t pay much attention to the talking till I hear my name come up.

Ashton’s POV

“Before we end the show tonight we want to tell you a story” Luke says putting his guitar down. Everyone puts their guitars down and the whole stadium goes silent. I get up off my drum stool and walk up to front stage. “Our friend Ashton here messed up, big time” Calum starts. “About three months ago, Calum’s ex threw a party” Luke says. “It was a pretty awesome party! Until something bad happened” Michael turns serious. “At this point, Ashton here was dating Sam and they were pretty much a star couple.” Calum says. “That’s Sam from the band that was opening for us for those of you who are confused” Michael states. The crowd gasps. “Yeah and I’m dating Mika” Cal says. “I’m dating Kat!” Michael laughs and the audience gasps again. “and I’m forever alone!” Luke cuts in. The crowd laughs but becomes serious right after.

“Back to the story. Ashton went to this party and got SUPER drunk. He was having a nice conversation with a tree when all of a sudden, someone came up from behind him and starting kissing down his neck. Since he was SO drunk he thought it was Sam so he kissed her but it was infact Calum’s ex.” Michael explains and the crowd gasps again. “Long story short, Sam found out the next morning and broke up with poor Ashton” Luke says and I look at the ground trying not to cry. “Some shit happened and she moved out of the house” Michael says. After Michael says that, I start to cry and I can hear the majority of the audience crying as well.

“Sam, if you’re listening, I wrote this last song just for you” I say wiping away my tears. Luke grabs a stool and drags it to middle stage for me to sit on and Michael grabs my acoustic guitar and brings it to me for me to play.

Sam’s POV

I can’t breath. “Sam? Sam!” Mika says shaking me. “Lacey was the one wh-who k-kissed Ashton?” I stutter out. “Ya she was” Mika says. “H-he wrote m-me a s-song?” I stutter again “Yeah! He worked on it for three months Sam. He couldn’t play guitar for a while after the cutting happened but he still wrote the song on paper. He kept asking the doctor when he would be able to play guitar and when the doctor said ‘not for a while’, he didn’t listen. He played the guitar and practiced over and over again for three months even though his wrists brought him so much pain, he powered through, for you Sam.” Kat says. “I love him” I finally make up my mind. “You what?!” Mika and Kat say in unison.

Sam’s POV

“I can’t remember the last time I saw your face

I feel so lonely when I’m in a crowded space

You left me without direction” Ashton sings from on stage.

“I love Ashton! I do, I really do!” I scream and Mika and Kat smile widely. “That’s so great Sam! When Ashton is done the concert you need to let him explain to you EXACTLY what happened because it wasn’t his fault” Mika says to me. I start to cry of happiness and listen to the rest of the song.

Ashton finishes his song. He starts crying and the audience does as well. It was such an amazing song.

Ashton’s POV

“Without you I’m a lost boy”

I finish and start crying and so does the audience. I stand up and give the guitar to Calum and Luke takes away the stool. I turn around about walk off stage but I hear running coming from behind me. I turn to see who it is.

Sam.

She runs up and crashes her lips onto mine. The crowd cheering and I cry of joy into Sam’s shoulder. She starts to cry of joy as well. At least I hope its joy. “You have one chance to explain Irwin” She says laughing I laugh too. “I love you baby girl” I say to her. “I love you more” She says back to me. We kiss on stage and the audience gives us a standing ovation.

I love her so much.

Sam’s POV

I love him so much.
