It's the middle of the week and I have to work today. Not a long shift, but I do have to leave immediately after school if I want to get to work on time.
"Wanna come over tomorrow night?" Logan asks opening my car door for me.
"Actually I can't" I frown. "Lucas' sisters are coming over so I can watch them while he's at a meeting"
He shrugs. "Tell him to bring them to my place, we can all hang out there"
"You sure?" I ask sitting in the car and putting the keys in. He nods his head and leans down giving me kiss, not too short but long enough to leave me wanting for more.
"I'll see you tomorrow" he says smiling.
"See you tomorrow" I smile back at him and he closes the door.
I love you.
Yeah I've gotten in the habit of thinking that ever since Monday when I told him about the dinner and he said he would come. It's Thursday now and every goddamn time words come out of his mouth my brain goes on overload with those three words floating around in there.
Will I ever say them?
Maybe.
I'm over here shitting bricks just thinking about it.
As I pull out of the parking lot, I get a call from Lucas. Earlier this week I got him in touch with David, Sophia's dad, so that he could discuss his ideas with wanting to open up a bar or something of that matter. I'm not entirely sure about the specifics but I know that Lucas is really passionate about bartending and mixing and creating his own drinks and he should have the opportunity to do that freely, so I think this meeting will be good for him.
I answer the phone and put it on speaker.
"Hey what's up?" I ask turning on my blinkers.
"Hey just making sure you're still available for tomorrow night?"
"Of course I am. Are you having doubts about me? Should I be offended?" I ask sarcastically.
"No," he chuckles "they can just be a lot to handle sometimes. You know you're not obligated to watch them"
I roll my eyes. "I know I'm not obligated, but I want to. I haven't seen them since we went to the aquarium and they are way past due for some girl time"
He sighs. "I don't know what I would do without you. Seriously Hazel, thank you"
"Yeah yeah, I'm great I know" I laugh. "Oh actually I have a question, and you can totally say no if you're uncomfortable with it"
"Okay, shoot"
"Logan offered for the girls to come over to his place for us to hang out. He has like a movie theater and I figured we can order pizza and watch some movies, but if your uncomfotable with that they can just come to my house it's up to you"
"That sounds fun, I can drop them off over there just text me the address when you get a chance"
"Okay great. I'll talk to you later?"
"Yeah"
I hang up the phone just as I'm pulling into the parking lot of the restaurant. I rush inside and clock in right on time. Quickly, I shove my bag in my locker and go to wait on my first table.
I finish my shift at five thirty. I only worked a few hours because there was an extra opening and I thought it was quick money. Before I get to my car, I realize that I haven't visited Eleanor in a while. I mailed her the Christmas present that I got for her but I haven't actually seen her since early December. She's really nice company and it's still fairly early so I decide to take the half hour drive to her house.
