"Merry Christmas little sis" I wake up to my brothers voice as he gently shakes my shoulder.
Funny enough, I'm never the first to wake up on Christmas morning, even when I was little. Either Harry or my parents would come into my room and wake me. I'm just not a fan of waking up early unless I absolutely have to.
I've always valued my sleep more than the normal person.
I sit up and yawn stretching out my arms.
"Merry Christmas" I reply with a lazy smile.
"Come down for some presents, Elaine is making a late breakfast"
After he walks out of my room I look over at my phone. It's eleven o'clock. Usually Harry wakes up a little earlier than this but I guess we were all kind of tired. I get up and stretch some more before going into the bathroom to brush my teeth, and then I walk down into the living room and plop down on the chair while letting out another yawn. Elaine and Harry are on the couch.
"Here, open your presents first" Harry reaches down under the tree and pulls out a few gifts.
Harry gets me a new laptop since I've been needing one, a new Nike gym bag, a coffee maker, and a pair of fluffy socks that have the grinch on them. I chuckle and hold up the socks giving him a confused look.
"You're favorite Christmas movie is the Grinch, they reminded me of you" he smiles.
"They're perfect" I laugh and immediately take them out of the packaging and slip them on my feet. Warm and cozy.
Elaine bought me more of my favorite perfume and an outfit from PINK. I thank them for their gifts and then give them theirs.
After we finish with the presents we all go into the kitchen to eat. Elaine made bacon, eggs, hash-browns, and French toast. Everything tastes amazing. Much like Claire, she is a beast in the kitchen. Harry and I don't eat out as much anymore since she started living here. It's been nice to have some home cooked meals.
I take a shower to start getting ready for the day. I'm going to Sohpias house to give her, Claire, and David their gifts and then Sophia is riding with me to Logans house so we can give the boys their gifts.
After I shower, I get dressed in my longsleeve red sweater dress that stops just above my knees and I pair it with long black boots that have a small heel and they stop just below my knees so that not too much skin is showing. I curl my hair and put on mascara and lipgloss then grab my purse and the presents.
I tell Harry that I will be back in a few hours and then grab my coat and hat and head out to my car. I start the car and while I'm waiting for it to warm up, I text Sophia that I'm on my way.
"Merry Christmas" I smile to Claire as she opens the door.
"Merry Christmas" she says smiling back and pulling me into a hug. I walk inside and hand Claire her gift. I find David on the couch and give him his gift as well. Claire hands me a card and I thank them and head upstairs to find Sophia.
I walk into her room to find her hanging fairy lights above her headboard.
"Merry Christmas bestie!" I yell.
Her head snaps in my direction and she lets out a small scream while jumping on me. I drop her present onto the floor so that I can catch her, chuckling as I hug her tightly. She is definitely the most spirited person I know, we literally just saw each other yesterday.
"Merry Christmas!' she squeals squeezing me. When she finally lets go I give Sophia the basket full of her favorite things that I made her.
Her face immediately goes soft and she puffs out her bottom lip as she examines the basket. "This is the cutest thing Hazel, I love it" she gives me another hug.
