Hinata POV
"K-Kageyama!" I exclaimed "How long have you been standing there?"

"Long enough" he says standing up straight and smiling a little.

I feel myself turn red as I realised a national level volleyball prodigy just watched a complete novice like me get excited from something as simple as hitting the ball.

"Did you see that!" I said, trying to hide my embarrassment "Wasn't that just like the Tiny Giant?"

A confused expression plasters on his face

"The tiny giant?" he says "Where'd you see the Tiny Giant?"

"On your phone silly!"

He smirks.
"That explains it"

"Explains what?"

He comes closer to me, and soon we're barely 10cm apart.

"Your eyes" he said "I saw it in your eyes"

"M-My eyes?"

"That's what I saw when I first met you. That's what made me want to defeat you"

He wanted to defeat me?
Was I really good enough that I was a rival to someone like Kageyama?

Maybe if this conversation had happened a couple of moments ago I would have been dwelling on the past Hinata side of things.

But right now, I'm just excited that I even got to that point at all.

Quickly, I think back to the conversation Kageyama and I had earlier.

I bow my head at him and say, "I'm so sorry for earlier"

He frantically says that it's ok and for me to put my head up, but I keep my position quite firmly.

"I do care about you and about everyone else too!" I feel my voice start to quiver "I am going to try, for real this time!"

I look up at him with a firm expression.

"I'll make you proud to call me Hinata Shouyo"

I didn't know what to make of his expression, but he seemed to get what I was getting that.

"Dumbass" he said, flustered and averting his gaze "You know I'm already proud of you"

I smile and almost chuckle at his embarrassed state.

"Alright then" he said "How bout I give you a toss? Let's see how those weak arms do with a real setter"

"Who's arms are you calling weak?"

"Yours, you twig"

"Shut up you tall blueberry"

"Blueberry?"

I giggled at him.

"Hurry up before we get kicked out!"

Kageyama POV
A simple video was all it took to get things back to normal.

I couldn't help but smile as he fixed himself into a running position.

"What are you smiling at?" he teased.

"I'm just thinking about how long it'll take to wear you out"

That came out a lot worse than I expected it to.
But that a guy innocent didn't even stop to think about it.

"Ready?"

"Always"

It only took about ten balls before he started panting.

I'm surprised he lasted this long, considering he ran all the way from the street to here.

"Hey Hinata" I asked while picking up the balls and watching him desperately chug his water.
"Even though you can't remember anything you can still jump pretty high. Does that make it just raw talent or have you been practicing?"

"Nuh-uh" he says "I haven't been practicing at all"

"What do you mean? So you can just jump that high naturally?"

"It's complicated." he mumbles before saying,  "When I'm jumping it's feels different to when I'm talking or running"

I sit down next to him.

"How so?"

He takes a moment to think about it.

"When I'm doing basic tasks it feels like I'm just doing it naturally, but jumping feels like an instinct"

"An instinct?"

"Like, I'm not trying to jump high, but I feel like if I don't..."

"If you don't...?"

"Jeez Kageyama I don't know!"

I sigh and get up, picking him up in the process.

"Why don't you try jumping now, but not high ok?"

"N-Not high?"

"You said it feels like an instinct right? Just... try to jump a bit lower I guess?"

"Why would I want to do that?"

"I'm just a bit curious is all"

I stand on the side of the court with him and he jumps.

Just as he leaves the floor however, his eyes shoot open and I know something is wrong.

I know he's trying not to jump high, but it's just like he said.

Out of instinct he pretty much flies into the air.
It's not like when he's jumping in ten court.

He looks like his whole life depends on this jump.

He stops using any kind of jumping technique in mid air and instead looks straight ahead with a strange expression on his face.

For some reason he looked scared.
He fell to the floor and held his head.

The way he was holding it; it looked like he remembered something.

"Hinata!" I exclaimed crouching next to him.

I slowly helped him pick himself up and he sat on the floor with a terrified look on his face.

"Who..." he said "Who was that?"
