YEY! COMEBACK NEWS! ROSE COVER! I'm so happy 😊

"Good morning!"

Saturdays like this are very rare, with Dad's position in the restaurant, he can't easily get off work. Mom and I don't complain, because first of all, it is our source of income. Secondly, Dad really loves his job. He told me that he wanted to be a chef ever since he was a kid. So, why would we stop him from doing what he loves? Besides, Dad does his best to give us time. It just so happened that these past few days have been very tiring for him and his crew because of the Avilas' father.

Great thing that he's been given two days off for a job well-done. So no matter how stressed I was before I slept, I still woke up with excitement welling up my chest.

"Good morning cutie pie!" Dad hugged me as I sat down beside him. Mom was cooking something that smells so good.

"What do we have for breakfast?"

"Toast, eggs, and your favorite, hot cup of chocolate." Dad poured me a cup of choco.

"Mom, what are you cooking?" I said, biting my toast.

"Chicken curry."

"But that is your specialty, Dad!" I said.

Dad shook his head. "Nah-ah. Your mom cooks better chicken curry than me." He laughed.

I pouted. Of course he just said that because he's afraid Mom might get angry. Dad is a superb cook. Give him scratch and he'll make a feast out of it. Mind you, when he was in his early twenties, he once worked as a chef for the King.

"By the way, where are we going today?" I asked excitedly.

Mom and Dad looked at each other.

"What?" I asked. I suddenly felt my excitement fade gradually. I know that look.

"Well, honey," Dad put his right arm around me, "Mom and I decided that we must... you know, have a little date."

"You're leaving me behind?!" I said loudly.

"Rose, your tone." Mom said. She turned off the stove and turned to me. "I cooked you your lunch, and I think you must stay at home and do your assignments."

"We don't have any--"

"You're going to college soon, you must focus harder on your studies. Okay?" Mom raised her brows at me.

When both of Mom's brows are raised, the battle is lost.

Defeated, I nodded. Dad chuckled and tapped my head gently, as if that will console me.

"Rose, we'll get you lots of food, okay?"

Mom slapped his arm, "Stop feeding her too much William. She's not getting any smaller."

"Mom!" I exclaimed but she ignored me.

"Never mind your mother. Anyway, I really wanted to ask you about the guy your mom told me... That... What's his name again hon?"

Mom answered while busying herself with the plates on the sink. "Kiko."

"Yes. That Kiko." Dad grinned playfully.

I rolled my eyes. "He's just a friend. Nothing more." I put jam on my toast.

"Really? He doesn't ask you out?"

"No." He did, but I thought we'd be having a family day so I turned him down.

"Tsk. Tsk. Maybe he's stupid."
