Alex's POV

Ten hours...ten long hours I've been sitting here waiting to see those gorgeous caramel brown eyes again, ten long hours I've been sitting by my husbands side waiting for him to move or talk or open his eyes anything. I have however noticed that my father hasn't moved from his seat either, once he got here and talked to me he took a seat in a chair outside the room and across the hall so he can see in through the window to watch what was going on. Although he talked poorly of Taylor I knew that all he wanted was for me to be happy and he would let me be happy with Taylor even if he didn't like him.

I sighed and let out a small yawn before I ran my thumb along Taylor's hand still waiting for him. At this point I wanted to rip the Garfield poster from the wall and rip it up so I wouldn't have to look at it anymore...I didn't want it to taunt me anymore I just wanted to be with Taylor alone and I wanted him to be awake and not in the hospital.

"Princess," I jumped slightly and looked at Taylor as he chuckled slightly and then coughed and held onto his side in pain as I let out a huge breath that I had been holding since I got the phone call.

"Taylor," I said standing up and leaning down so I could put our foreheads together. I felt his slightly cold hand touch my cheek as he chuckled and started moving his thumb as a tear ran down my cheek. A smile stretched across my face as I giggled and placed my hand on his face loving that he was finally awake and looking at me again. Loving that he still had the same chuckle that I heard all the time and loving that his grin was back, "you scared me."

"I promise you I didn't mean to," he answered as I sniffed and nodded my head. "Hey...hey I'm right here...I'm okay Princess," he said as I shook my head.

"You really have to stop calling me that," I said as he shook his head setting a grin on his face.

"Never Princess," he said as I smiled and leaned in kissing him softly on the lips before I slowly pulled away knowing he needed to rest. "How long have I been here," he asked as I sighed.

"Well I've been here for ten hours and you've been here for about eleven...just over," I said as he nodded his head.

"I have to go now," he said attempting to get up as I shook my head and tried to hold him down.

"No...no what the heck are you doing," I said struggling to keep him down and that's when my dad ran in.

"What's going on," he asked as Taylor continued to try and get up before my dad pushed him back making Taylor wince and grab his side in pain.

"What are you thinking...you've been through a lot Taylor you need to stay in this bed for another day or two you can't just get up and leave," I said as he shook his head and looked at me.

"Alex...I don't have health insurance I don't work enough to get those benefits and I definitely don't work enough to pay for this room or anything else they've done for me so I have to leave," he said as I shook my head.

"Taylor we'll figure this out okay but you need to stay here your not strong enough to leave the hospital yet," I told him as more of a demand then anything else but he shook his head.

"No...no we can't I have to...we," he stared but held onto his stomach in pain as he groaned. "Doctor," he said as I looked at my father who nodded and walked off to get the doctor. "Please Alex...I have to get out...of here," he said again as he groaned in pain and I set my hand on his cheek trying to calm him down and make him feel better. The doctor came in with my father as he attended to Taylor and then gave him some medication before walking out again as Joe lay on the bed with his eyes closing and then opening again.
