"They left two hours ago." The Hokage sighed
You could not believe your luck. "Why? Why so suddenly? Without informing anyone? What sort of a training required such urgency?" You clenched your teeth together. You were losing your nerve.
"You and I, we both know better Kakashi. But, If you must know, it was not my decision to send them off this early. I expected them to take atleast a day to get ready." He tried to calm you down.
"Whose decision was it?" You were as confused as you've ever been.
The Hokage answered, "(Y/N) insisted on leave as soon as they could. She did not care take any belongings with her, so she stayed in my office till Asuma packed. She was not keen on seeing anyone before she left. I do know she is an orphan, but she must have friends. She is close to a Yamanaka Reo and his mother. She had no message for them either."
You could not believe her discussion. You were feeling an emptiness inside.
"I sense you have developed a good bond with her in a short period of time. But from today, atleast for the next two years, your paths will not meet."
You calmed down after taking some deep breaths. You were not the type of shinobi to shows reckless emotions, that too in the presence of the Hokage. ANBU made you forget emotions or attachments. But (Y/N) was holding the strings to your heart. You began to realize that you were changing. Everyone leaves you, yet she might not. You would give up anything to take this risk.

The Hokage put his hands on the table. "I will be assigning a new member to your squad. Do you have any more questions regarding this?"
You broke your silence after a few seconds. "No, Sir."
"I need you to inform her close friends about this. That is if you are willing to do so." He took one last look at (Y/N)'s file, then kept it under his desk.
"I will do it." Your face fell.
"Thank you, Kakashi. You're dismissed."
_________half an hour later_
"You're back early. Where's (Y/N)?" Reo asked as soon as he opened the door for you.
"I need to talk." You said looking into his eyes.
Reo got worried by the sense of your tone. "Come inside."
"Reo, Mrs.Yamanaka, this is about (Y/N)." You proceeded to tell them. But you had worried them sick.
"She left the village this morning with Asuma. They're going to the fire temple."
"With Asuma? What sort of a mission required those two to pair up?" Reo was frowning.
