Confession

About an hour had passed and everyone seemed a little tipsy from all the beer. You sipped through one bottle just to give company but were focused on not getting drunk again. You knew you couldn't afford a slip again. All the memories of that night all those years ago kept your head clear. But now you were worried about your drunk comrades.

To everyone's surprise, Reo stood up with beer in his hand.
"Ri. I must say, you have become even more beautiful than you were before."
You eyed him, but your cheeks turned red and you chuckled.
Reo continued "This new coat you wear, it looks so cool!"
"Mention the cool sword" Tenzo whispered.
"The cool sword!" Reo repeated. "It's fire! Literally!"

This made everyone laugh.
"Okay, Okay" You grabbed his arm trying to pull him back to the couch.

Another hour passed and the four of you were chilling on the couch with your stomachs full. The three men were drunk. Kakashi spoke the least throughout the evening and you kept wondering about him. After all, he was the man who ruled your thoughts.
You stood up to use the bathroom. Most lights in your appartment were turned off, except in the living room where everyone was.

You were wandering around the house when you suddenly got pushed against the wall. Someone was grabbing you by the waist. You gasped.
In the faint light you could make out that it was your drunk sensei. He was leaning over you, holding you in his arms.

"Kak-" before you could say anything.

"I missed you. I missed you s-so much. I thought about you every hour of everyday. I wondered h-how you felt being so far away from me. You were gone for so long. But, (Y/N), I finally have you now. An-And I have no intention of letting you go." Kakashi whispered every word breathing down your face.

You froze in the moment. Was this really happening. He was so close to you. You realized he was not in his senses. It seemed like a deja vu. Only this time, he was in your place. Before you could speak, he closed the distance between you. His face was inches away from yours.

"I have been waiting for-for over two years to tell you this. (Y/N), I have feelings for you too. From the day I got to know you, you are the only woman I have ever thought about. You are the only woman I ever want to think about. Because, I am in love with you (Y/N)."

Your heart was racing and your face turned a bright shade of red. You kept looking into his eyes.
He lift your chin up with one hand and pulled your face closer to his. "Will you accept me as your man?"

You trembled and your eyes became wet. He was holding you waiting for an answer. You knew he was drunk but you could see the truth in his eyes. Unable to speak you nodded in response. You saw his eyes lit up. He raised his free hand up to his face. He slowly pulled his mask down while moving closer and closer to your lips.

"May I?" He asked as his nose brushed over yours. You were breathing heavy then decided to respond with an obvious "yes". He kissed you and you melted in his arms. You could think of nothing else in the moment. You kissed him back without breaking apart. It lasted for what left like a lifetime. Neither of you wanted to let go of each other.

After a few minutes you came back to your senses and untangled yourself from your sensei. You decide to return to Reo and Tenzo to avoid suspision. Upon your arrival, Tenzo glared at the both of you and jerked his head blushing away. He must have figured you out. You were relieved that Reo was fast asleep.

Soon after, Tenzo thanked you for the meal and left for the night. You and Kakashi decided to walk drunk Reo home.

The three of you were talking and laughing throughout the walk. Kakashi and you kept on smiling at each other. Reo was too drunk to notice anything going on between you too.

As soon as you dropped him to the Yamanaka residence, Kakashi held your hand with no intention of letting go. You were smiling at each other like kids. You pulled him back towards the direction of your appartment. Kakashi was drunk and blushing at the same time. You knew you would never forget this night. You couldn't remember feeling this happy ever before in your entire life.

As soon as you reached home, you and Kakashi crashed on to your bed and fell asleep in each other's arms. Neither of you cared enough to take off your shoes.

------------ the next morning

You woke up comfortably wrapped in Kakashi's arms. Your head was on his chest and he was breathing softly down your forehead. You smiled and kept looking at his face. His mask was pulled down flaunting his beutiful face. You couldn't help but smile at the view. His perfect jaw line and a mole below his lip were a treat to the eyes. You caressed your face against his vest feeling his heart beat all the way up.

You carelessly let out a whisper, "You feel like home."

Just when you were living the moment, Kakashi's eyes opened and met yours. He spoke in a sleepy voice, "Am I dreamimg?"
You cupped his face with your palm and softly placed a kiss on his lips. "I love you too, Kakashi."
His eyes widened and he pulled your face up to his neck holding you tighter than before.

"I can't believe I have you." He smiled while tears formed in his eyes.

"I will never let go." You whispered.

You fell asleep in each others' arms again.
