Kakashi's POV
Dodging the kunai you threw at her, she jerked her head at the tree you hid yourself behind. "Found you!"
You were constantly changing your location while mercilessly throwing weapons at her. Her defenses were being put to a test. It had been going on for two hour now. Neither of you had stopped to catch a breath.
(Y/N) alerted her posture as you began to make hand signs. "Fire style - Pheonix flower jutsu!"
The darkness in the forest was overcome, and you watched her dodge the fireballs. In the moment, fire glistened in the water around her red orbs. She was beautiful.
"Sensei! My eyes have reached their limit." She appeared infuriated as her sharingan retreated.
"Your eyes are stronger than I expected. (Y/N), we might make more progress by the end of this than I initially anticipated. You must have noticed that your Sharingan lasted longer than I have seen it do before." You enquired to which she nodded.
"I was putting less strain on my eyes than I do against enemies. By adjusting the amount of stress I put on them based on different circumstances, I could form a pattern of use, making them last longer." (Y/N) pouted with squinted eyes.
"You are up to something." You smirked.
"Sensei?" Her face softened.
"You're welcome, (Y/N)." You smiled at her.

She raised her eyebrows sharing your smile. "Good guess."
24 hours later (Y/N)'s POV
"Our forces are needed elsewhere tonight. This is why we required shinobi services to watch over. There should be no distress, unless the information was leaked and the prison was attached to free someone inside." An armed, rather rigid old man was instructing the details. The head of the prison guard was nervous. Team K did their best to assure him safety.
"Very well then. We will form two groups and stay within range of each other's chakras. Any sign of disturbance and we will be quick to respond." Kakashi commanded.
"I'll take Ri" Reo put his arm on your head.
"Actually, (Y/N) will be with me." Kakashi said with a straight face. "Part of the training."
"Man, am I jealous of you." Reo rolled his eyes on the Captain. Reo's words must have distracted your sensei because his face was changing colours.
"Take formations!" His instructions were clear and Team K stationed itself around the lengths of the prison. Hours had passed without a distress. Nobody spoke or felt a need to.
