"What's the reason for your arrival to Crustel, your highness?" Ethan was indeed rude as he didn't even greet them. "Ethan...!" I growled with my gritted teeth. Ethan avoided. Prince Kanyal closed his eyes. When he opened his eyes, it turned into aqua blue. His father was quite worried. "I am afraid that the conflict between Crustel and Aquanya is..." the King trembled with words. "Just spit it out," I told him. "We have received news that Prince Melyon is still alive." Silence filled the room right after the King of Aquanya told my uncle was still alive. Tears of joy rolled down my cheeks. "What about the Lanshiren attack? What happened to him on that day?" I added questions but Prince Kanyal cut, "Cora, calm down. We got this information right after Emerald was killed. I wanted to stay with you when you completely broke down but the moment our informer told us about Prince Melyon, I couldn't hesitate any second."
"Where is Prince Melyon?" Ethan asked worriedly. "The scroll is the only answer. We couldn't read it." Prince Kanyal sighed. I signalled Ethan to give the scroll to me. The map popped again. Prince Kanyal and The King were shocked. I looked at them as I was puzzled. "Why are you guys looking like that?" I asked them with an unusual quirk in my voice. I heard a humming voice. To be specific a haunting humming voice. My eyes searched everywhere but I overlooked the map. Ethan's hands were shivering. My eyes met the map. The voice was unfamiliar. It was a female voice. She started singing. I listened carefully to her lyrics.
the sun shines behind a mount,
only one you can count on,
lies are spread as truth is shared,
if you believe the lie,
you might even die,
If you pick the truth,
There'll be fruit,
On a huge tree,
A team of three,
Wins the battle,
But when the fourth one joins,
A huge blunder is made,
Find out the fourth person,
To know the truth,
If the truth is hidden at last,
Again a war will be back with a blast.
Those lyrics made me sick. "I just finished saving Crustel from the Leader of the tranquets. I haven't caught the fake Emerald yet and this song and map thing. Ugh..." I sighed. Ethan was still in shock. I shook him fiercely. "I know who was this..." he whispered unwillingly. "What do you mean, Ethan?" I roared as The King and the Prince of Aquanya trembled for a second. "That's my mom," I cut Ethan, "Your mom? I thought your mom has..." I couldn't continue. Ethan's watery eyes made me stop. "I know but it's her voice. I think this map was made before she passed away, " Ethan stopped. Prince Kanyal interrupted, " Your mom did this map?" He was puzzled. "It was in a secret chamber in our palace. Well, who is your mother?" Prince Kanyal questioned Ethan in a firm tone. (Imagine as you listen to a dramatic flashback background music)
"ELVIRA " The moment Ethan told his mother's name, Prince Kanyal's eyes glowed. "You're Elvira's son? That Elvira??" He was outraged. I knew Elvira wasn't a great soul but she was a perfect mother. She was the darkest witch of her age. Even the sorcerer was defeated once during their duel in Corta. We believed a rumour stating that Elvira was killed by her master as she tried to kill her own master. Even Ethan believed it. The only good deed she did when she was alive was raising Ethan as a great boy. He rarely met his mother because she was too busy planning evil plans against Taleas and Aquanya. "This map must be cursed!" Prince Kanyal growled. I was speechless. The King patted Prince Kanyal's shoulder. He whispered something to Prince Kanyal. "Save Prince Melyon!" The King left saying that. I didn't stop him but Prince Kanyal didn't follow his father. He stayed with us. I looked at the map. The map showed an image of my uncle. He was all alone on his armours just like in the paintings. To my surprise, he didn't age. He was as young as in the paintings in the castle.
"I think both Elvira and Prince Melyon are alright, all these years," I told with guilt. Ethan nodded. Prince Kanyal didn't speak. "We have to get back Prince Melyon and Elvira..." that was a bitter truth from me. Ethan was not excited to meet his mother after all these years. There was something else he hid from us. Prince Kanyal closed his eyes and told, "Cora, I see Elvira with her evil wolf. She is too dangerous now and the future tells me that she has killed her master just now. She won't harm Prince Melyon but this is her plan. We have to join her game." I nodded. "Oh yeah. I forgot a vital point. Elvira is planning to take over Crustel. So, you will have to be careful with the Aquan Shield. The fake Emerald and Elvira know each other." Prince Kanyal added. The only thing I realized that the war wasn't over yet. This is a much more crucial part. "Come on! Let's follow the path on this map and save Prince Melyon." Ethan urged. I stopped him.
"No. Hold on your horses. If we leave Crustel, Lanshirens might attack Corta again. What about Crustelicians?" I questioned Ethan. He was speechless. "Well, we can ask Erica's help," Prince Kanyal suggested. Well, that was a pretty good idea. I arranged a meeting with King Estaban and Queen Merlina. The next day, King Estaban, Queen Merlina and Erica came to Crustel. I told them about the map. Unfortunately, Erica was not comfortable with the fact that we have to leave her all alone ruling two countries for a while. "I am coming with you guys. I don't care what you guys going to say but I am coming." Erica burst. I had no choice and had to ask my mom's help. She was too weak to handle Lanshiren attack.
