I was able to hear conversations. "Silly girl! She thinks that she can rule a kingdom just like that?" it was undoubtedly Lexter's voice. I acted as I was still unconscious. "You know something? Acting like my tongue was cut was the funniest thing I did in my entire life! Like seriously, I am a Serhen! Obviously, we are born without a tongue. We never have a tongue. Well, how does it feel to speak with a tongue? It's moving and it's so freaking!!!" That was Zoya. I controlled myself as all I wanted to do was to gasp audibly. I heard groans. I hope those were Ethan's and Kanyal's. "I fork out you the girl as the price for my crown. You better lend it back to me," It was a familiar voice. "Oh, buddy! All we planned during our childhood could only be taking Revenge. Not taking over kingdoms but speaking about Crustel, it should be mine, considering the sacrifices that my parents did." Lexter had his words and ended with sniggers.

I realized that the aventurine ring was still on my finger. I tried to remove it but all of sudden, I heard footsteps. "Go check on him! He was being dramatic just now. If he does it again, just give him a tight slap and cast that spell, Zoya!" Lexter commanded. I acted like I passed out. I heard the water splash. It seemed as they poured water on someone fiercely. "AAAAHHHH!" I harked back to the scream. The typical Kanyal. He never changes. "What are you guys doing? AND YOU! The TRAITOR!!! I REPEATED CONSTANTLY TO LITERALLY EVERYONE ON NOT TRUSTING YOU!" Kanyal roared deafeningly. I guess I guessed the person accurately. He was right. In the end, he was being Elvira's son although he screened himself as Foscor's son. How come the gene would vary. Evil was in his vein. He was raised by EVIL.

"Revenge, Evil and a Serhen! What could be the worst for someone!" He said in a sad tone. I heard laughter. "Well, you're right. Revenge, Evil and a Serhen! That's why we unite. She ruined our lives. Wondering how? Wait a minute," Lexter paused. I heard footsteps again. It was nearer. "Done with your acting?" He asked. I was able to feel his warm breath. Still, I didn't open my eyes. "Listen, you're not going to get any awards for your acting. You've been eavesdropping for accurately six minutes," Lexter said. I slowly opened my eyes. My eyes met Ethan. He was standing without guilt with a smirk. I tried to get up but I fell on the floor. "You're really going to be a worse queen if you become one! You still have the ring and you are under my spell. I told you to stop acting. Not getting up and fighting with us," When he finished his sentence, his mates giggled. "What did I do to you?" I asked Ethan. "OOOOH! The girl is asking buddy! Answer her quickly, or else she might kill you?" Lexter said sarcastically. I was too weak. "What's wrong with you? WHY?" I asked him as I dropped on the floor again. This time I hit hard on the chair nearby.

I felt the oozing blood. I neglected it. My eyes searched for my wand. I wore it as my bracelet but Ethan was aware of it. He was having it. All I did at the end was cry. I felt powerless. My dad's words haunted me. "Your powers might not be enough for Ardian!" It was repeating in my head. I noticed that Kanyal passed out. Three of them smashed him. Blood was all over his face. I whispered a healing spell but the aventurine ring blocked. I tried to get rid of it but it stuck as the spell enchanted on it was robust. It seemed I was left with only hope. I tried my best to get up but I kept on falling. Suddenly, I saw something round like a ball. I narrowed my eyes to have a clearer look. It was it! The sphere shield. Ethan accidentally dropped it. I acted as I didn't notice it and said, "I know I am defeated. This is my end. I am going to die, in a theatrical way.

Lexter and Zoya laughed while Ethan stepped backwards. "Finally, you realized that you're not powerful. Ooops, your not the queen anymore! Since I am going to take over Crustel, I decide the queen and the royals. I have lots of work. You stay here. Remember! You can't escape. This is a room entirely build of aventurine. My spell is helping you to breathe," He ended up with his evil laughter and left the room with Zoya. He slammed the door so hard. I was waiting for Ethan to leave the room too. I didn't even look at his face. "Cora?" He called out my name. I didn't answer him. I heard his footsteps. He handed me a piece of paper. He put it on the floor. I ignored it. "Cora, read it!" He said slower than a whisper. So, I moved a bit nearer towards the paper. Although I was weak I still had the strength to hold the paper. It said:

Cora, I can't speak. Lexter can hear what I say even when I am not with him. He cast his powerful spell on me. It worked on Kanyal too. It didn't work out on you because your amulet was glowing in purple for so long. You gained your new power. Your amulet can fight against aventurine but it is not enough for you to escape from here. Take the sphere shield. I act as their friend. They know Elvira, so they believed me. I would never betray. Trust me this last time. Go now! Put that gem on the Swan's eye!

Again I believed him because my amulet glowed when I got up. He was telling the truth. It was fighting against aventurine as the aventurine was turning purple gradually. This time it wasn't much hard to get up. I snatched the sphere shield. At that moment, I felt powerful again. I turned back towards Ethan. He smiled. I looked at Kanyal. Ethan pressed my hand and shook his head sideways. He moved his lips silently which meant, "Go now! I will save him!" He gave me my wand. Before running out of the room, I turned myself into a Serhen form. I had scales all over my body. It veiled my face. I ran out leaving them there! I pat my pocket. Favourably, the gem and the map was still there.
