CHAPTER 25
I could smell the fresh breeze whipping my face. Only the sound of singing wind was all I can hear, and the whole place was blanketed by green leaves and grasses, swaying their bodies through the wind’s slaps.
The sharp grasses beneath my bare sole tickled me as I slowly committed some steps. Napakagaan sa mata ng asul na kalangitan... and the clouds looked like thick cottons flying above. I tucked my hair behind my ear as it danced against the gentle slams of wind.
Surprisingly, I saw colorful insects emerged from everywhere. I wandered my gaze around... and my mouth dropped in amusement... thousands of colorful butterflies were gracefully flying towards me.
“Wow,” I muttered unconsciously.
The scattered insects looked so surreal with different colors! Their wings were even producing green, shimmering dusts that made the surrounding glimmered.
My stomach sank when they all went in front of me. I remained in my position, standing in front of them, habang pinapanood silang magdikit-dikit na parang isang malaking nilalang na gawa sa makukulay na mga pakpak. Dinapuan nila ang isa’t isa hanggang sa makabuo silang ng imaheng halos kasing-laki ko.
The glittering dusts was swirling around them in spiral. Halos ilang segundo lamang ang itinagal ng isang bungkos ng mga paru-paro, until they exploded gently.
“Shit!” I cussed as the green smoke from the explosion covered my vision.
The thick smoulder was dancing around me, and all I can see was green and the shimmering dusts that was produced by the butterflies.
Hinanap ko ang mga paru-paro... pero wala. Wala na... nasaan sila?
“Maligayang pagdating dito sa aming mundo, Szesca.” A soft voice from somewhere echoed.
I roamed my eyes around, but the green smoke was very thick! I couldn't see her! Inihakbang ko ang mga paa kong walang sapin at naramdaman ko sa aking talampakan ang mga damong tumutusok dito.
Teka...
Bakit ako nandito?! Paano ako napunta rito? What is this place?!
“Maligayang pagdating dito sa mundong dapat mong kinagisnan,” the gentle voice said. “Nandirito ka na sa mundong kinabibilangan mo, Szesca.”
The smoke was slowly fading, and the sun provided me an enough light to see a silhouette from afar.
A woman! I could see from her silhouette the curves of her body... her tight dress was hanged in her body and her hands were intertwined in front of her belly.
“Sa wakas,” she muttered but she remained standing like a statue. “Sa wakas ay nandito ka na.”
And then a strong wind blew, pushing the smoke away. My hair blocked my face pero kaagad ko ring hinawi... curiosity is blanketing my system...
Sino ang babaeng ‘to?
Her brown hair also danced through the wind, but she didn't even moved to swipe it away. Her blue eyes were shimmering genuinely and her perfect, red and thick lips were in a sweet smile.
“S-Sino ka?” I lisped as I tried to commit some awkward steps away from her. “What is t-this p-place? W-Where am I-I?” I stuttered.
Her green, off-shoulder dress was hugging her body perfectly.
She looked like a 33-year-old version of me!
“Hawakan mo ang aking kamay...”
Napatitig ako sa maputing kamay niyang nakalahad. My gaze crawled from her palm, to her arm... up to her soft face in genuine smile. Her glittering, blue eyes were natural... she looked so grateful!
