The next day, Caroline got ready and left for school, so she complete her homework in the library because no one was there to disturb her.

The day went smoothly until her second last period. There was an announcement made on the speaker but Caroline was busy solving her worksheets. Caroline felt someone elbow her. When Caroline looked up and noticed everyone staring in her direction.

Tanya, her classmate, pointed at the speaker. It was the Principal, calling Caroline in the office. Caroline was an ideal student, didn't get into trouble often. So, everyone was shocked when she was called. Caroline packed her stuff and got out of the classroom, without delay.

When she reached to the Principal's office. She knocked on the door and entered. Her hands started to shake when she saw a police officer in the office.

It was evident on her face that she was nervous. The Principal chuckled at her expressions. The police officer got up, shook hands and introduced himself as Sheriff Dawson.

He asked Caroline to take a seat. After silently analysing Caroline. He told her that he was here to ask her about Seeley Hodgins.

Caroline was now petrified. The Sheriff slid a photo of Hodgins.

He asked her if she ever saw him. Caroline's first instinct was to act innocent and tell him that she never saw him but she knew that the officer would see right through her. Caroline nodded and told him that she saw him a few days back at the diner.

He asked some more questions like if he was alone or was he scared or if there was something weird about him. To which Caroline replied that she just took his order, someone else had attended him.

He gave her his number and instructed her to call him if she remembered anything. With one stern glance, he left.

Caroline nodded and asked if she could be excused. Caroline felt tired and decided to bunk her last class and left to one place where she felt safe and at home.
