"You were very great last night, daddy!" Said Carissa flirtatiously to Alejandro.
Lonardo's footsteps were heard from the staircase.
"Oh, the pretty beast is finally up!"
"Hey, son. Eat your breakfast," Alejandro jumped in.
"I have no appetite. Besides, I don't want to hear of my mother's hookup early in the morning," Lonardo sarcastically uttered.
"Lonardo, your words—" Carissa rebutted while Alejandro remained silent.
"Anyway, I would like to invite you to a dinner tonight, on me. Julie will come—so please be nice—it's the least you can do,"
"Aren't we? Glad to hear you actually 'like' to invite us," Carissa smirked.
Lonardo went his way out to meet Julie in a nice, jazzy, and dreamy coffee bar. Julie wanted to be oriented, at least, on how is the family like, and how should she engage with them.
"Why have you never brought me here?"—Julie giggled—"This place is very nice."
"I know. I usually go here alone to tap my inner peace, you know. Guess I won't have to go here alone now," Lonardo smiled—looking directly into Julie's brownish-green eyes, savoring every moment with her.
"There is something I need to tell you," Lonardo fidgeted.
"What is it?"—Julie held his hand—"There's no need to be anxious. I'm here."
"I feel like I don't want to go to dinner—"
Julie gasped, "Why?"
"No, it's not what you think. I... I feel... sick to my stomach. You see, every time I see my mother... I just can't stand her. There was one time we were alone in the kitchen and I was trembling from within. I want to vomit—but she seems very comfortable being with me.
"I don't desire the feeling, you see... my heart beats thrice as fast whenever she is around, and as time goes by, her comfort lies—whenever she gets something she wants... that's when she's grounded. When not, that's when she's oblivious. I'm exhausted in trying to escape this—I feel like I'm dying," Lonardo wailed onto Julie's shoulder.
With a gloomy heart, the two still attended the dinner both of them had set-up. The family went to dine in Laz Rua, for something all of them need to know.
"What a pretty girl you have here"—Carissa held Julie's face—"I see my son really has great tastes."
"Julie, meet my mother, Carissa, and his husband, Alejandro." Lonardo stuttered, for he did not know what to call them, "Parents, meet Julie."
Carissa nodded, "Nice to meet the both of you!"
"Let's have a seat, shall we?" Lonardo insisted.
"So, what is this dinner all about?" Carissa asked.
"A month ago, Julie and I met. But a month felt like years... in a good way. And so our love was celebrated. And we are pleased to announce... we are finally having a baby!" said Lonardo.
"What... a pleasant... surprise! Indeed," Carissa put her hands together.
"And before I ever, ever forget! Lonardo chuckled. "I am finally moving out!"
