Hey guys! I'm SquaryQ, a back up for the Advice Column this month. I figured that since exams, whether they are official ones or mocks, are coming up and school often stress to revise now, that I should give some of my tips for revision:
Tip one:
Balance the revision in a 60:40 ratio with things you enjoy; anime, fanfics, whatever you enjoy doing. Because you shouldn't have to study until your brain feels like mush. It's good to be able to enjoy your time despite having to study for exams.
Tip two:If you feel like cack then stop revising! Don't keep studying! It won't sink in and you'll get fed up! Trust me! I wasted a week of prime revision time because I overworked myself. Just take it at a steady pace and don't strain your brain because your grades are not as important as your physical health.
Tip three:If you revise better with music, use OSTs. OSTs are more likely to work since it is psychologically proven that you cannot listen to lyrics and focus on your notes at the same time. Therefore soundtracks are more likely to be a better option than this weeks chart or whatever.
Tip four:If you get headaches or whatever in exams, practise doing papers with minimal or no medication. Then you can work to get your grades up to where you want them to be, when ill and any marks you pick up for being in good health are bonus points for you! Trust me, I almost failed a class because I wasn't allowed to sit anymore past papers.
Tip five:If you have any good luck rituals to make you feel at ease before a big test then don't question it. Do the ritual. Don't be embarrassed about having something that gives you luck, like Midorima's ~magical~ pencil or any of his other lucky items
I hope that these tips weren't a waste of your time, feel free to share your own tips! Good luck in the exams guys!
