'Okay, wait. So he woke you up, took you to some clearing, threatened you with a gun, just to bring his boys out and forcefully take off your wristband?' Madison was sitting criss cross applesauce behind Wells as he buried the two boys that died the day prior during landing. He was telling her about the events from the night before, and suddenly all the stories Octavia told her about how sweet Bellamy was vanished from her mind.
'Yep. It was pretty scary.' Wells patted the ground with his shovel before he let out a sigh and dropped on the ground next to Madison.
'So he had an actual gun? Like the pew-pew kind?' Wells gave her a weird look and nodded. 'As real as guns can get.'
'Jesus..' Madison ran a hand down her face and sighed.
'Thanks for staying with me while I did..that.' Madison rested her head on his shoulder. 'No one should have to bury two dead bodies alone. What are friends for.' After a few moments of silence, Madison stood up and helped Wells before grabbing the boys' clothes and started walking back to camp. To their right they spotted a couple making out, the girl barely clothed.
'At least someone's enjoying their time down here.' Wells shook his head at her and snorted.
Kids around them were running around, playing some sort of game, others were drumming on some plastic buckets with sticks, as if playing a song. Everyone looked generally happy and content. A group of guys ran past Madison and Wells, barely missing Madison's shoulder.
They walked past the dropship, when a voice stopped them.
'Hey uh, where'd you get the clothes?' Sensing the boy wanted them, Madison clutched the jackets closer to her chest. 'Buried the two kids that died during the landing.' Wells stepped slightly in front of Madison and she resisted the urge to scowl. She could protect herself.
The boy, Atom, nodded, looking impressed. 'Smart. You know what, I'll take it from here. There's always a market-' Madison stepped in front of Wells, getting in Atom's face. 'We share based on need. Just like back home.' The parachute that covered the dropship entrance was pulled back Bellamy stepped out, bare chest and torso on full display, a girl in just a sports bra and pants hot on his heels. She noticed that his hair was no longer sleeked back, but a messy mop of curls on top if his head. It looked better like that in Madison's opinion.
'You still don't get it, do you, dollface?' That's when she saw the gun stuck in his the side of his pants.
Madison resisted the urge to roll her eyes as the two shared a quick kiss, the girl strutting away, with Bellamy's eyes on her ass.
'This is home now. The Chancellor's rules no longer apply.' He came closer and grabbed a blue shirt from Wells' hands. Atom pushed him back as he tried to get the clothing back.
'Oh no, no, Atom. Atom, hold up.' Making eye contact with Madison he lifted the shirt to her eye level. 'You want it back? Take it.' Wells turned around the dropped the rest of the clothes on the ground, urging Madison to do the same. With an eye roll, she did, almost falling down when a boy smacked into her side, trying to get one of the jackets.
