Wells Jaha was dead. Madison had been the one to find him.
Madison woke up with right before sunrise, planning to try and scare Wells again. She stood up slowly, careful with her bandage and put on her boots and jacket. She quietly exited the tens, as Octavia was still asleep. She relished in the quietness of the forest. The cold breeze sent shivers down her spine and moved pieces of hair from her face. She took a deep breath, still not fully used to the natural oxygen that was occupying her lungs. She made her way towards Wells's watch post, careful not to alert him of her presence. When she didn't see him, she thought he had heard her and planned on scaring her.
"Wells?" Silence. She looked around, trying to find him. "Wells, if you're trying to scare me, it's not going to happen." More silence. Madison was starting to get scared. "Wells? Wells please, this isn't funny anymore." She took a step backwards and rolled down a small hill. The hill they were standing on last night. She landed on her back, pain shooting up her spine. She slightly turned her head to the left, and saw him. Wells was laying on the ground, eyes open, blood surrounding him. Her scream was so loud, probably anyone within 2 miles heard it. She scrambled towards his body, and cradled his head in her lap. Bellamy came rushing towards her, panic on his face. Then he saw her. Keeling on the ground, tears flowing freely down her face, sobs shaking her entire body, Wells's head on her lap. Then he saw the blood.
"Madison..." She looked up at him. 'He's he-" another sob shook her body as she lowered her forehead onto her old lover's, her tears falling onto his face. Bellamy crouched next to her and pulled her in his arms, rocking them back and forth. More people came out to see what had happened, but when Bellamy shot them all dirty looks, they retreated. Then, Clarke Griffin came out, Finn right behind her. She saw the scene and her knees buckled underneath her. Luckily, Finn was there to catch her. The two boys watched as the girls they cared so deeply for, fell apart in their arms. Wells Jaha was dead. And their hearts were broken. Bellamy placed a kiss on Madison's head and gently pulled away from her.
She was still sobbing and clutching his jacket. Seeing she wasn't in the right state to walk by herself, he picked her up bridal style and carried her into camp. Octavia came in their way with a questioning glance. Bellamy shook his head as a way to tell her to wait. Octavia understood and stared worriedly as her friend continued to sob her little heart out in her brother's chest. Bellamy took Madison to his tent and laid her down on his bed. She continued to cry as he sat down next to her and pulled her in his arms again.
