You might be wandering why Dionysus fell in love with a naiad which Zeus has a thing for and ended up stuck in Camp Half-Blood. I'm here to reveal that secret. One word, Aphrodite

-

Aphrodite was strolling around Mount Olympus. The bees buzzed, minor gods and goddesses roaming around the streets. The flowers started to bloom thanks to Persephone. A bunch of other creatures, Cyclopes, nereids, satyrs, dryads, harpies, nymphs, etc.

Though Aphrodite didn't care about them, she only cared about herself and how beautiful she looked. She made her way to her temple.

It was pretty as usual but not as pretty as her. It was a rectangular room with marble columns.

It was painted bright white. The floor was scattered with rose petals which made the room seemed romantic.

The room was nearly empty except the giant statue of her and a throne that was velvet red and had valentine hearts on it.

Beside the throne stood a thin table, the only thing on top was a beautiful tiara as if to say I am Aphrodite, Queen of Everything!

Behind the statue, was a beautiful mirror frames with celestial bronze. She made her way to the mirror.

In front of her, she saw her beautiful reflection. She placed her hands on her hips. "Mirror, mirror on the wall. Who is the prettiest of them all?"

Aphrodite said with pride as she checked her nails. The mirror flickered. "Why you, of course lady Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty!" Answered a voice coming from the mirror.

She smiled coldly.

She decided to roam around Mount Olympus and make people miserable or something.

If Aphrodite likes you, she would make you fall in love with someone you really like and somebody that is nice and attractive.

If Aphrodite is angry, she might make you fall in love with the most repulsive person you know, or a toy poodle, or even a telephone pole.

Aphrodite's favorite trick was to make someone fall in love with the person who didn't like them back. She thought that was the best fun ever.

She had a bunch of attendants called erotes, miniature winged love gods. Their leader was Eros, son of Aphrodite, who was the god of physical attraction and Aphrodite's hit man.

He might sound silly, but if Aphrodite sends him after you, it's no joke. He can make you fall in love with anyone.

On her way she stumbled upon a naiad. "Watch where your going!" The goddess Aphrodite screeched.

The naiad wrinkled her nose. "Aphrodite you are horrible, even more than Dionysus! You are a selfish, inconsiderate brat! I don't even find you beautiful, much less attractive!" The naiad huffed and ran along. I never got her name though . . .

Never in her life has Aphrodite been so . . . Embarrassed. She decided to have payback. She ran through the busy streets of Olympus.

She had assigned her son, Eros a.k.a Cupid to make the naiad fall in love with the person she hates besides her, Dionysus.

"Shoot her in the rump or something! Just make her pay for what she has done!" Screamed Aphrodite to his son.

Her plan worked perfectly. She could see Dionysus chasing the naiad and could see the naiad in misery. Aphrodite smiled mischievously.

Soon enough she heard about Zeus punishing Dionysus for falling in love with the naiad that Zeus had a thing for.

As usual, Hera got angry that Zeus was trying to protect the naiad.

Dionysus was sent to Camp Half-Blood to do service for a century. So Aphrodite made two people miserable. The lesson learned was, NEVER mess with Aphrodite.
