“I LIKE THE way I can’t keep my focus
I watch you talk, you didn’t notice
I hear the words but all I can think is
We should be together
Everytime you smile, I smile
And every time you shine, I’ll shine for you…”I sang along when the song reached its chorus. The weather’s still gloomy but it isn’t as bad as yesterday, so the classes now resume.
I woke up feeling so bright today, not only that, I was two hours early to my supposed schedule. So I decided to bake a blueberry cheesecake for Seri and Mich.
I carefully squeezed the icing bag around the cake. Then I placed the blueberries on the center. When I’m satisfied with its look, I placed it on a clear cake container.
Rightafter, I went to my bathroom to prepare for school. I feel so giddy that I even started a mini concert inside the bathroom—singing and dancing to New Hope Club’s Tiger Feet. And yes, I also have speakers inside.
While looking for something to wear, a pastel pink dress with cherry print caught my attention. It’s a spaghetti strap type which falls just above my knee. I grinned upon seeing that it fits me perfectly. I partnered it with a white open toe shoes.
Another hour passed and I’m now riding the elevator down. Mang Robert’s on duty when I passed by. I stopped to greet him. “Good morning po, Mang Robert!”
“Magandang umaga, Ma’am Dekko,” bati niya pabalik.
“Please do an advance reading for our next lesson by tomorrow. We will have an activity before the lecture.”
After announcing that, our professor in Statistics dismissed us. I watched as my blockmates lazily get up from their seats, while I excitedly ran towards my friends. We decided to spend our one hour vacant in the cafeteria to eat the cake.
