DRAINED WAS AN understatement to describe the state of my brain after that horrendous exam in Philosophy. It is already the last day of midterm examinations for the first semester, the past three days were manageable—but today? Today is the schedule of majors.
I immediately slumped on a seat in the cafeteria. My friends were also not saying anything, just quietly sitting—staring into nothingness.
Ugh! That exam! I feel like I’m gonna fail…

“Nakakaloka!” Umiling-iling si Mich. “Jusko, nagkabisado lang ako ng mga tao tao! Akala ko pa naman objective ang exam, bat biglang may essay at situational?”
Seri sighed. “Girl, I did the same! Imagine my horror upon seeing the test paper, ugh…it was so mind-fucking!”
“What did you answer on #5? Agree or disagree?” I asked.
“Don’t remind me, Dekko!” Seri exclaimed. “Let’s all forget about it okay? We still have to review for CTRA!”
“Isa pa ‘yan! Papatayin ata ang utak ko today, mga bruha!”
Nang dumating ang order naming lunch ay nagsimula na kaming kumain nang tahimik. Habang kumakain kasi ay isinasabay na rin namin ang pagbuklat sa mga reviewers. Mukha lang hindi nag-aaral nang mabuti ang mga kaibigan ko, pero ang totoo, mas masipag pa sila sa akin.
Minsan pa nga ay naririnig naming minamaliit ng ibang estudyante ang kurso naming Clothing Technology. Sinasabi nilang bakit pa raw pag-aaral eh ang simple lang, mananahi lang naman daw.

We took two more major examinations before the day ended. Originally, Seri planned a nightout for the three of us once exams are done…but since we were all so exhausted to the bones, we decided to postpone it.
I was so worn out that I forgot to eat dinner. I planned to wake up after an hour of sleep but when I opened my eyes…it was already morning.
While eating my breakfast, a thought suddenly came into me. Oh my! I forgot to bring Snow her dinner last night! Siguro naman pinakain siya ni Herson…pero kahit na! It was still my duty. The moment I picked up Snow from the streets, I have taken the responsibility for her.
