SHEOGORATH'S VIEWPOINT
Sheogorath's beloved was carrying his seed, and he was quite pleased with that. Having no children in all the eras that he'd existed, he hadn't thought it possible that a Daedra could sire a child with a mortal, not that he'd ever tried. It was positively crazy, and he liked crazy. All these new twists of events just filled him with glee! This was new, and he had no concept of what he was stumbling into, no concept of what was to come. He loved it, the insanity of it, a Daedric baby? Unheard of! But here it was, the truth of the matter.
Running his fingers gently over Deirdre's bare body he felt a bump below in her belly that he hadn't felt before. She smiled up at him, looking relaxed. He'd retired to his quarters mid-morning with her for an hour or two. He missed her. Haskill would entertain his guests for the time being. Right now he felt like a fly drawn to honey... or rotting flesh. Why were flies drawn to both those things? Best not to ask, he thought.
Then there was the matter of that pest Deirdre brought into his Realm, that Planewalker. The thought made his thoughts turn sour, ruining his mood. He was going to play a game with that pest, the pest was going to LEARN. If it survived, it would earn his respect. Maybe it would make a good emissary if it succeeded. His mood lifted a bit thinking about his new toy. He rolled onto Deirdre and began tenderly kissing her.DEIRDRE'S VIEWPOINT
"What will it be and what will it look like? I mean I'm human but you're a Daedra. I still don't fully get what that means". Snuggling in his arms Deirdre looked into Shrogorath's eyes.
"Nor will you ever. We may look similar in structure but what we are is vastly different from each other. You'd be well to just leave it at that". He yawned. "It'll be a Daedra, more powerful than the Daedric creatures that wander Oblivion, but weaker than the Princes. As for what it'll look like, I do not know. I've never had children before although I've heard of Molag Bal having them through rape. Such a distasteful Daedric Prince. OooOOoOoo. Can you imagine Hermaeus Mora having children with a mortal? Scary! If Sanguine doesn't have an army out there somewhere, then you can just call me Anne Marie!" He howled with laughter.
Deirdre presses her lips together, looking worried. What was the chance she died from this? What if the baby had vicious claws, teeth or spikes and tore its way out of her. She agreed with Sheogorath that whatever was growing in her womb certainly wasn't human. Would she be prepared bodily to birth it?
"What if I die from it? My mother died while giving birth to me."
"Do you honestly think I haven't already taken your mortality into account? Do you really think I haven't already taken precautions? You speak as if I'm crazy, oh wait, scratch that, I am!" His voice lowered to a whisper " l'm just no fool. I can't afford to lose you. Nothing in existence means as much to me as you do. Without you..." his voice cracked. Clearing his throat he continued "Without you I'm nothing anymore. Without madness there is no love, you taught me love, a new form of madness. And to give up that love I wouldn't be as mad as I am now. What would the Daedric Prince of Madness be if he was less mad!" Gently, he placed a kiss on her forehead.
SHEOGORATH'S VIEWPOINT
Dinner was full of conversation. Mel was bombarding Haskill with questions about the realm, much to the Chamberlain's dismay, and Deirdre and Sigurd were catching up on the past. Only Sheogorath was silent, although he wore a smile on his face. It was not a good natured, friendly smile. There was no warmth or kindness to it. It was a sketchy, sinister smile. A smile that spoke of dark things to come. Yes, things were going to get fun tonight, although he'd probably be the only one enjoying himself. Deirdre could tell something was brewing and kept sending worried glances his way.
"This is delicious!" The Daedra overheard the pest say to his love. "I've never had anything like it before."
"Do NOT ask him what it is. Chances are high that you don't want to know" She whispered to him.
As dinner finished, the Daedric Prince stood and strolled to his throne. Sitting he clapped his hands together several times to gather the attention of everyone. The horrible smile was still spread across his face. His eyes were dark.
"Planewalker! Approach me!" He bellowed. " You've no Concept of what you've stumbled into, no idea of where you are. You're... going... to LEARN"
"Yes, my Lord Sheogorath" Sigurd bowed low with respect. "What may I do for you, Prince of Madness"
The Daedra spoke, cold and commanding
"Planewalker, Planewalker, do hear me out
The way to free passage I'll tell you about
To amuse and entertain me I demand that you must
Find your way out and you I will trust
A test I will give you, a puzzle indeed
To finish with victory without help will you need
Alone you will do this, for you've gained my ire
This is the only way out and I am no liar
The test I've assigned, you'll need to complete
Or you'll never escape, and we'll never again meet
Begone now I say, I'll see you no more,
Till finally I've found that we've evened the score!"
Sheogorath immediately stood up and, within the blink of an eye l, stretched out his hand, green light flashing forth and enveloping Sigurd. As quickly as it began, it was done and Sigurd was gone. The Mad God causally sat back down, his smile growing.
"This is going to be great fun! I can't wait!" He cackled with glee.
Deirdre screamed and ran to the spot were her father had just been, Mel's eyes hung out of her head and her jaw rested on the floor. Haskill looked unfazed.
"HOW COULD YOU DO THIS!! WHERE DID YOU SEND MY FATHER!!!" Deirdre screamed at Sheogorath.
"Hold your tongue woman or I'll tear it from your mouth" he growled, still grinning, teeth gleaming in the firelight. "Remember who you're speaking to. Your father is going to entertain me. He's been to my realm 17 times without asking permission. How rude! But he's going to run a maze for me and maybe he'll get a bit of cheese as a reward! " the Daedra laughed. "Remember I asked you what i would get out of this? Remember I told you I'd let you know what I wanted once your company was here? This is what I want, and so this is what I'll have! This is a far better fate than Planewalkers get when I catch them, the chance of him dying is small. The chance of it breaking his mind, though, is significant. He'll be rewarded very well if he finds his way out"
"Where is he!" She said through grit teeth, her hands balled up into fists.
"My beloved, calm yourself! You're making my teeth itch! I've merely created a pocket realm where I placed him. He'll undergo puzzles and tests and I'll watch his every turn. It's going to be fun! Maybe he'll actually enjoy it! Nothing in there'll hurt him... much..."
