MEL'S VIEWPOINT
Sitting cross-legged on the floor of her room, Mel looked at Deirdre, both women still in shock over what had happened earlier.
"Has he ever done something like that before?" Mel questioned in disbelief.
"He finds various ways to... entertain himself." Deirdre sighed. "and yes, I've seen him do this to people before. He usually summons them to the palace to come before him. Believe it or not, he's entertained himself in far worse ways before, although he's done it in much better ways too. He's very creative, in both good and bad ways. One time he put a man to death for growing a beard. He insists on being the only one in the Shivering Isles allowed to grow a beard. Then the other extreme, he held a festival in town to celebrate one of his favorite citizen's losing their big toe due to frostbite. There was over 50 different types of cheese. A large crowd was there and they dried out the dead black toe and the guy wears it around his neck proudly now"
"Please tell me you're joking" the Dunmer asked in total disbelief.
"Nope. I wish I was"
"He has strange eyes. They look like a cat's. Can he see in the dark?"
"Ask him." Deirdre laughed.
"No!" There was no way she was asking him something like that! To be honest, she was afraid of him, even before he did what he did to Sigurd. He was a Daedric Prince, for crying out loud! She's studied them in school, and they were part of the reason she had specialized in Conjuration. They fascinated her. Maybe she should talk to him and ask him questions. This was a rare opportunity she had and she should not waste it. Realizing this she corrected what she said to Deirdre.
"Actually, maybe I will"
