- The Future -
Marinette's POV

It had been a few days since I had arrived in the future, and slowly things were becoming... dare I say... normal.

Today was a Friday, and like every week day Adrien went to work and Alya and Nino came over to hang out with me. In the evenings, Chat and I would patrol and look for any signs of Tok after dinner and then play a game or watch a movie.

I was slowly understanding how much my future self must miss her life. I mean, one day I would have everything I had ever dreamed... and I couldn't imagine it suddenly being ripped away and stuck back in a time where I couldn't even talk normally to the man I loved.

"Really?!" I felt my grin widen at Alya's newest suggestion, today we were going shopping.

"Yeah! Nino can head home and you can just leave Adrien a message or something. Let's go!"

My friend rushed me out the door as Nino sighed, trying to keep up with his fiancée. Eek! My ship was sailing!

"Well, I'll see you girls later. Mari, be warned. This is the same Alya you know and love, and she'll drive you off the walls. And Alya, try not to over exhaust the pregnant lady. My dude will not be happy if you accidentally kill his future wife and child."

"Got it Nino!" I yelled, Alya dragging me by the arm down the street.

"Come on, girl! I think we have some much needed time to make up."

Alya and I went everywhere. Nail salon, shoe store, even baby shopping.

"Als! This crib is adorable!"

"Your future self and Adrien already bought one." She laughed.

I sighed until she found another object in the next isle.

"Look! It's a Ladybug and Chat Noir mobile! You two have to get this." Apparently our best friends had known Adrien and I's identities for a couple of years, and they were always eager to help out with akumas and covers.

"Well then, what are you doing? Put it in the cart!" She tossed it in with the many bags we had already purchased and small mountain of baby clothes.

"Alya... am I in heaven?"

"Probably. What is it?"

"I-it's a ladybug bow tie! Look at it! Isn't this the most adorable tiny thing you've ever seen?! Look at those little spots... it's going in the cart!"

My best friend chuckled at my rant, watching me swoon over the tiny clothing and shove it all towards the check out.

"If I ever have a daughter, we're getting this." I decided, watching Alya snicker at the dress in my hands. It had a black tule skirt covered in little paw prints and a green top which read "Daddy's purrincess" in glittery cursive letters.

After swiping a credit card into the machine, we made our way to the next store on our list. I think Alya was surprised by how well I was adjusting to this all, and I was too. I was pretty sure it just felt too much like a day with my Alya.

Not to mention, Hugo was still my son. I mean, maybe I'll have to wait a few years once everything goes back to normal, but still. Who said I couldn't enjoy baby shopping now?

I was shocked as we entered another store, and Alya cringed at the realization.

"I- I never told you about your job, did I?"

I shook my head. Now that I thought about it, Adrien hadn't either. All I knew was that I was designer.

But by the look of the "Agreste's" designer clothing store we had just entered, I was more than that.
