Marinette's (younger) POV
"Come on Mari! We're going to be late!" I laughed as Adrien grabbed my arm, pulling me into the cinema.Last night, he had accidentally spent the night as we were working on a school project. And now today, Saturday morning, we were on our way to watch the new Ladybug and Chat Noir movie.
I wondered if Chat had watched it yet, or if he hadn't had a chance to buy tickets. They had been sold out for weeks, and only Alya's connections to the Ladyblog had earned us the opportunity.
"I can't believe we're actually doing this." I laughed as that beautiful boy dragged me by the arm, into the theater.
Due to him staying the night and the fact that we had slept in, we hadn't had a chance to grab breakfast. So Adrien, being the dork he is, decided to use this online hack he had found.
So, the next thing I knew, I was running down the street with a bag of Cocoa Puffs sitting in a bowl underneath my over sized shirt.
"What did you two do last night?" Alya asked as we sprinted into line, watching her stare at my oversized stomach.
"Study." Adrien honestly answered. "Unfortunately, though, I fell asleep and we were running late. So... we picked up some cereal on the way."
"And let me guess," Nino laughed, "it's right down-"
"Yup." I replied, popping the p. "And who would question a teen mom?"
We looked around after that, noticing some odd stares at the "pregnant" 15 year old.
I immediately smirked, Adrien doing the same, as I shook his arm and loudly complained. "Babe! Please! Can we get popcorn?!"
"Sorry princess," weird choice of nickname, sounded a bit like Chat Noi. "But, I'm not paying for tickets and food. Get it yourself."
"Oh, like I have to give birth to your son by myself?"
"Exactly. Now are you getting it or not?" I feigned a groan and shook my head, noticing the onlookers getting uncomfortable and beginning to look away.
"Hello, you two, what can I get you today?" The ticket man asked as Adrien gave me a "trust me" look.
"Two tickets to Hellholes." He spat, shoving a 20 on the counter.
"Um... may I ask how old you are, sir? You must be at least 17 to watch this without an adult... and..."
"16." I snarled in reply, lying a bit about my age. I tried to hold down a grin as he let his gaze wander to my stomach, gulping before looking back up. "Got a problem with that?"
"N-no! Of course not! Just... um... I'm afraid I can let you see that film..."
"Fine," Adrien replied, "then we'll see whatever that superhero movie is. Keep the change." With that, we tried not to feel guilty and laugh as we walked away from the mortified worker, Alya and Nino now taking our place iay the counter doing their best not to snicker.
"That was great!" I exclaimed as we walked toward the theater.
"I know, right?!" He chuckled, "I feel so bad... but did you see his face?! I mean- umph-" we looked up to see the man I had bumped into.
He had unruly blond hair, sunglasses, and an arm wrapped around his pregnant wife, I assumed. Odd, she was wearing sunglasses too, despite exiting a dark theater, and a hat over her midnight hair.
"Sorry, sir!" I immediately offered as he gave a familiar chuckle.
"No problem. Enjoy the movie... it's certainly something else."
"Oh, are you expecting too?" The wife asked me, looking at my stomach resulting in Adrien and I giving awkward replies.
"Y-yeah?"
She put a hand on her own bump, giggling as she replied. "Well, good luck. I've been in a mood for Cocoa Puffs lately, kitty, can we pick some more up on the way home?"
"Of course, m'lady. Have fun you two, and good luck!" He said before sliding his glasses down, winking at us with emerald eyes.
Kitty? M'lady? Hm, they must be Ladybug and Chat Noir fans.
We didn't think much of it, though, as Alya and Nino joined us with their popcorn in hand as we entered the theater, taking my seat between Adrien and Alya.
I tried not to drool as Adrien wrapped an arm around my shoulders, as I unhooked the cereal during the ads.
There was no way that Adrien Agreste could ever feel anything for me, I was just friend. Always was, always will be.
But as his grip tightened around me, I couldn't help but hope.
I mean, who knows? I thought, snuggling into Adrien as we both popped cereal into our mouths.
There's still time.
