- The Past -
Adrien's POV

What's the biggest difference between 15 year old and 23 year old Mari? Me.

Although they had the same kind and loving personality, the same eagerness and selflessness, it was clear that after 3 years of marriage I had rubbed off on Marinette Agreste.

She schemed more than the nervous Marinette Dupain-Cheng I always knew, and her smirk was worthy enough to rival my own. And I liked it.

I had to admit I was kind of proud. I wasn't necessarily a big rule breaker, but this was a Chat Noir kind of plan that ran off a deep love and craving for Cocoa Puffs.

I wondered if I could've convinced her younger self to do this, or if it would've taken a few years for her to agree. Whatever the case, I couldn't help but laugh at Alya and Nino's expressions as we walked up arm in arm.

"What exactly did you two do last night?" Alya asked, eyebrows raised.

"Oh, we bought some Cocoa Puffs on the way here," I began, letting Mari pick up the rest.

"And I knew they wouldn't let me drag the entire box in. So this is my backup."

"And just how exactly are two fifteen year olds going to sell that kind of gig?" Nino asked, he and his girlfriend looking extremely amused as we neared the ticket booth.

"Like this. Baby, you look fine!" I comforted my future wife, raising my voice to get the attention of most of the lobby.

"But Adri... I feel fat!"

"C'mon sweetheart, you've been complaining about that all month! I'm telling you that you look beautiful."

"Really?"

"Really." I confirmed, pressing a light kiss to her forehead. "Ready to see that movie?"

"The theatre is dark, right?"

I dramatically rolled my eyes. "Yes it is, you don't have to worry about it. But I've gotta warn you, this "I gestured towards her stomach, "is normal when a girl gets knocked up." Suddenly the entire crowd staring our way felt incredibly uncomfortable and tried to turn their heads.

"Well it's your fault, you did this to me! And that's why you better buy me some popcorn."

"Are you kidding? That stuff is expensive!" I answered as we neared the front of the line. "Get it yourself missy. I'm broke."

I could tell Mari was trying not to break out laughing, and I was hoping no one would recognize me and call my bluff, but before she could respond we were cut off by the man running the ticket booth.

"Two tickets for Hellholes, please." Okay, that wasn't the movie we wanted to see... but we had a chance to make the poor guy really awkward that the Chat side of me didn't want to pass up.

"Um... I'm sorry. That's rated R. Would you mind confirming your age?"

"We're 16," Mari spat, watching him stare at her large stomach "got a problem with that?!"

"N-no... of course not miss! But I can't legally sell you those tickets."

"Fine. Then we'll see Ladybug and Chat Noir, live action. That's pg-13... we're allowed in there, right?" I mocked.

The poor man nodded before exchanging our tickets for cash. I felt sort of bad about it, so I told him to keep the change. He looked beyond relieved that we were finally leaving.

"Next!"

"Wow guys, that was great!" Nino laughed as he and Alya joined us, tickets in hand. "The poor dude didn't know what hit him!"
