- The Past -
Adrien's POV

The last week, I've learned things I never though I would.

Not only do I end up with the girl of my dreams, but we have a perfect life, relationship, and in almost 9 years... we'll have a family.

Of course, though, it wasn't my turn yet. But it was amazing listening to Mari as we worked on the Ladybug and Chat Noir portion of the project.

"Okay, how does the heroes' relationship affect their partnership?" I asked, reading the first question off the paper.

"Well, the closer we've become the stronger we are. In my time, we would both risk our life for the other, no hesitation. I don't know about you, but every time I see you take a hit... or in some cases die, it makes me even more determined to fix it all. When I see you get hurt, I stop fighting with my head but with my heart. And sometimes, that's what we need to win."

"The closer, the stronger," I jotted down. "Wow, m'lady, I've gotta admit... that was pretty sappy."

"I do have my moments." She shrugged, giving me that cute smile that makes my heart flutter.

As much as I hate to admit it, it always did that. Whether it was Ladybug or Marinette, there was something I couldn't control. Something I didn't want to control.

"O-okay," I stuttered, "what are their best qualities?"

"Well, from the perspective of an innocent bystander, of course... I would have to say selflessness." She replied. "We put our lives on the line for the people of Paris, never giving a second thought about it."

We continued like this for a while, though I occasionally voiced my opinion, until we had almost completed the entire planning sheet.

"Okay, final category... personal heroes. Who is you hero and why?"

"Well," she blushed, "I don't think a 15 year old can put this down, but my husband."

My cheeks grew as red as tomato head's hair as she elaborated.

"Even if he weren't Chat Noir, he would be my hero. Adrien Agreste is the most kind and selfless man I've ever met, and he puts his family and friends first. He's determined and strong, he thinks he's funny and witty... and that's what makes him so amazing.

"When I was a teenager, I put him... you, on such a pedestal because I thought you were perfect. When I got to know you for who you are, Chat's sense of humor and flirty advances reminded me that you were human too. More specifically, that you were an absolute dork which was another thing I grew to love. You weren't just an unreachable idol, but you were my partner and friend.

"Not to mention my husband is handsome and successful, though he doesn't rely on his father's legacy to carry him through life. He rebranded the company instead of sticking with what he knew had worked for years, and was willing to take risks to make it his own.

"Then of course, he's the perfect partner. He doesn't complain when I need help, and he puts my needs first... especially over the last few months with the baby on the way. He's the kind of person I could only hope to be like, and he's given me love, determination, strength, family; he's even given me a child.

"Adrien Agreste, with or without the mask, will always be my hero. Why? Because he will always be my partner." She concluded, leaving me gaping.

"D-do you really think so, bugaboo?"

"Of course, Adrien. You're an amazing boy. And one day, you'll become an even more incredible man."

"It's weird listening to you talk about him, or me, I guess. Whenever you mention him, he sounds like this perfect Prince Charming or the perfect husband and father. But I can't imagine being like that. How am I supposed to become that man?" I paused before continuing, finally letting the question I had been wondering all week spill out.
