Growning up on the streets and new friends

I yawned and stretched my sore body before getting up.I lived on a abandoned building roof top with only an old sheet for a blanket and a piece of cardboard for a bed.Theres also a long old moldy tarp for the roof in case it rains.I lived up on that roof top ever since my parents died.My name is Safira and this is my story.Ive been stealing food and water bottles full of water from stores just to survive.I wake up extra early to watch the sunrise every morning it's breathtaking and the highlight of my day.Ever since the new super hero super girl has come into town I lay low and don't steal as much witch means I ended up going hungry.My sore body was from running from the cops when they catch me stealing.I easily lose them because I know the streets so well.I watched super girl fly around happily during the day.She seemed so happy and free.I would be busted for life if I ever got caught by her I thought.In the evening I was walking around the city when I spotted 2 girls in a back alley They looked homeless as well I approached them with caution.Excuse me I said walking towards them may I help you a girl with dark blonde hair said standing up.Im Safira and I'm a homeless orphan.You are the girl said stepping forward yeah I said sadly Would you like to join our group Safira sure I said would you guys like to come live with me on top of a roof it's safer you would do that for both of us? She said why wouldn't i I have room and you guys look like you both could use a friend I said with a smile.Oh I almost forgot to introduce myself.Im Zady and miss sleeping Beauty over there is lily.Nice to meet you Zady I said shaking her hand.So that's lily yegh she's really tiered from this afternoons food run she nearly escaped the cops and that new hero super girl.She escaped super girl but how.I ran and hid until the Coast is clear Lily said waking up.Lily were you listening to our conversation Zady said glaring at her.maybe lily said walking over to us.So your the group member huh lily said standing at Zadys side yegh I said she's also going to let us stay with her isn't that nice Zady said it's extremely nice lily said it's on a roof right yeah it is I said come on I'll show you.all 3 of us ran down the streets and sidewalks until we reached my home roof.Its up this ladder I said climbing up my new friends started climbing the old rusty fire escape behind me.Ounce we were up I showed them around.Welcome to your guys new home I said.Wow what an amazing view lily said You have shelter That's even more amazing Zady said looking at the shelter it's not much but it's home I said the roof is also gravel Lily said kicking at the rocks yeah it makes the roof more sturdy I said looking at her.Im going to grab two old pieces of cardboard for beds and old sheets for your blankets and I might steal a bite to eat you guys hungry yeah Lily said definitely Zady said ok I'll be right back I said climbing down the ladder ok they said in unison Ounce I reached the ground I realized that I was even more more hungry than ever.So I went to the nearest store.I spotted a small box of granola bars on the shelf.I quickly slipped it into my jacket and walked casually out of the store but I was caught red handed by an employee.I ran out of the store and down the street Cops soon spotted me and began to chase me.I was about ready to lose them when Super girl landed in front of me.I stopped dead in my tracks.The cops behind me got out of their cars and waited to take me down.What do you got in your jacket kid super girl asked.Just a small box of granola bars I said taking the box out of my jacket and setting it on the ground.I know that stealing is wrong but it's the only way My friends and I can eat and survive.I can take it back and apologize.Super girl looked at the cops behind me.I've got it from here she said stepping forward Ounce they were gone she walked towards me and bent down to my level.Where are you're parents sweetheart she asked gently.They were murdered when I was 5 and Ive been roaming the streets ever since.Whats your name she asked putting her hand on my shoulder and rubbing it.Safira I said as tears streamed down my face.Please don't hurt me I begged sitting down on the ground.I would never hurt anyone especially not a little girl like you she said wiping my tears with her hand.I looked up at her with tears in my eyes.Ill take the box back and I'll apologize for stealing I said picking the box back up.Maybe you should keep it instead super girl said ok I said sadly.Thank you super girl I o u big time I said walking away you're welcome Safira and be careful she called I will I said.I ran to the alley and and grabbed the two pieces of cardboard and old sheets from the alley and climbed the fire escape to the roof.There you are we were getting worried Lily said running over to me with Zady close behind are you ok Zady asked Im ok I said happily now let's get you guys settled in.After I got my friends settled into their new home and after we had granola bars for dinner we watched the sun set.then my friends and I curled up on our cardboard beds and went to sleep.I fell asleep long after my friends did but before I could shut my eyes I herd a noise it sounded like an airplane but it wasn't.I lifted my head to see super girl fly into an apartment window across the street from my roof top home.I climbed out of bed and walked towards the edge of the roof to get a better look.Super girl was closing the window behind her when she spotted me.I froze when she flew over and landed quietly in front of me.Hello again she whispered hi I said in a whispered scared voice.I just came to say hi she said looking around umm hi I said sitting down on the cold gravel.So What are you doing up on a roof like this she asked sitting down in front of me.This is my home I said looking around and Thats where you live.yeah Supergirl said I guess that means we're neighbors yeah I guess so I said yawning well I'm pretty beat I'm going to go back to bed. Ok goodnight safira goodnight super girl I said. I began to walk back to my shelter and safira yegh I said turning around if you need absolutely anything you can come over and get me alright super girl said.ok I said super girl smiled and I smiled back as I curled back up in my bed and watched her fly back across the street.
