Chapter 26

     "That's weird. I thought you were supposed to be the last kid." Clemont said as the train pulled up to a house outside of town.

   a small girl with blond hair was outside talking to the Cunductress. "Why to the North Pole! " The Conductress yells suddenly.

    Ash smiled then turned back to Pikachu who was trying to catch Flabébé. A small push came to him as the train started to move again.

    Outside the window the girl hesitated. Elli looked outside and saw the girl trying to run to get on. "Hey!" Elli tried to point out.

    The girl fell face first into the snow. "How do we stop the train!? " Ash asked looking around. 

    "There's an emergency brake right there." Clemont points to a lever on the walls. Elli grips on and pulls it down.

     The train stopped, everyone fell back. Thanks a lot gravity!!

   The conductress stormed into the cart. "Who in the hot cocoa put on the brakes?! "

     "She did it! " Clemont points to Elli.

    The Conductress storms up to the girl."Now young lady we are on a very tight schedule. To you Christmas may not be improtant but to some people it is."

     Waving her hand to signal a go the conductress closes the window and checks her pocket watch.

        "Ive never been late before and I'm not going to start now. But do tell me why you put the brakes on? "

    "I was trying to help the girl get on." Elli says and looks out the Train door where the girl was sitting alone. "Oh... Well then.....Everyone take your seats take your seats!"

     All of the kids ran over to their assigned seats as the conductress stands to the front. "Thank you....now I'll be going around to punch your tickets so please have them ready."

      "Tickets?" Ash muttered confused. After a few minutes the conductress comes to his seat. "Ticket please."

    Ash shook his head. "Try your pocket." the conductress gestures to it.

     He reached into his pants pocket and felt nothing. "Try your other pocket." The conductress says turning her face.

      Ash puts his hand on the other pocket and felt a peice of paper inside. He takes it out of it's place and sees he has a golden ticket in his hands."Pika! " Pikachu says surprised.

        Snatching the ticket out of his hands the Conductress uses a puncher and little bits of paper starts flying around. She hands it back to Ash then leaves the train cart.

      Ash looks at the ticket, the holes spell : B E

    "I got L E what do you think that means? " Clemont says turning around. "I don't know."

      Kids start to play around the train cart. Elli laughs as Flabébé flies around her making silly faces.

     "Would any passengers onboard be interested in refreshments?" The overhead speaker boomed.

     Everyone's hand shot up into the air. "I thought so."

   A bunch of waiters came into the cart and turned a booth around to face the booths behind them. They took out a sheet and set it down into mid air, the sheets stayed in mid air as if they're on tables.

       A roll cart was pushed in and served hot chocolate into cups. The waiters gave the cups to the kids.

     Out if the corner of his eye Ash saw Elli taking a cup under the table to keep out of sight. Another waiter came and served her another cup not seeing the other.

     Ash gave Pikachu a sip of the hot chocolate. Pikachu's eyes widened in delight. "You like it huh? "

    After a few sips the cup was taken from Ash's hands. The booths were back in their rightful places and the waiters left.

      Elli took out the hot chocolate from under her seat and started to walk to the exit. "Where you going? " Ash asked standing up.

     "I'm gonna take this to the girl." She says as Flabébé flies onto her shoulder.

     "You need an adult to go outside. Its not safe! " Clemont says.

    "I'll be fine." A shadow loomed over Elli that made her stop her tracks. "Now this girl....Did she get any drinks?"The conductress held her hands to her hips.

      "No ma'am. " Elli said looking up to her. Silence...

   "Well then lets give it to her then! " The conductress spread her arms out and ushered her out.

      A gleam of gold came across Ash's eyes. He looks back and sees Elli's ticket on her chair. "Her ticket ...its not punched in." Ash holds the ticket to the light for a better view.

     "We gotta get it back to her! " Ash says
