chapter 32

  "Hey Elli? "

  I opened my eyes and saw Bonnie shaking me. "What's wrong? " I asked looking at her scared face

    "I had a bad dream..."

   I sta up and gave her a hug. "Well when you think of good things the bad dreams will go away."

   

  

    After the hug I walked her to the small balcony. Where we sat down and looked at the stars... "My mom used to sing to me when I got nightmares.Can can you sing to me?" Bonnie asked.

    "Alright..I hope I'm better than your brother."

   Bonnie laughed. "I think anyone is."

   "Sit." She sat onto my lap careful with my legs.

  " This is a song my mom taught me." I told her.

   Closing my eyes I took a deep breath.

 

   " You would not believe your eyes

    As ten million fireflies.

    Lit up the world as I fell asleep.

   Cause they fill the open air.

    And leave teardrops everywhere.

   You'd think me rude but I would just

    stand and stare.

    I'd like to make myself believe,

    Its hard to say I'd rather stay awake

   lightning bugs. As they try to teach me how to dance.

   A fox trot above my head, a sock hop beneath my bed,

   a disco ball that's just hanging by a thread.

  I'd like to make myself believe. That planet Earth turns slowly

   its hard to say that id rather stay awake when I'm asleep.

Leave my door open just a crack.

   Cause I feel like such an insoniac.Why do I tire of

  counting sheep?When I'm far too tired

  to fall asleep.

   To ten million fireflies.I'm weird because I hate goodbye.

   I got misty eyed as they said farewell.

   But I'll know were several are. If my dreams get

   real buzzard. Cause I saved a few and I keep them in a jar.

   Bonnie had fallen asleep in my arms. I chuckled and kissed her forehead.

    Walking as quietly as I could.(Which Is hard with a metal leg) I laid her onto her bed.

    Should I tell them I'm from a different world?

   The next day....

  "Wake up wake up!! Its time for my gym battle!! "

   Groaning into a pillow I threw the one I had at Ash. Ash fell back and started to laugh.

    "You know what the good thing is about having one leg? " I asked stretching.

   "What?" Serena asked.

   "I get half off on shoes. cause I only get half of the pair." Taking out black pants, and a red shirt that goes to my knees I chuckled."That and also I don't have to worry about losing a shoe from a matching pair."

    They laughed.

   We made our way to the mountain where the gym was supposed to be.

   "Hey Grant! " Ash called looking up to the rock climbing wall. Not taking notice to a man with black hair that had colorfull rocks in it.

   "Hey Ash!! You're challenging me to a battle correct?"

   "Yup!! "

   "Climb the wall."

   Everyone froze at that. "I have trainirs climb the wall before they battle." Grant explains. "We all don't have to climb the wall right?  " Serena asked.

    "Not at all. There's an elavator right there.But just because you dont climb the wall doesn't mean I'm not going to battle you." When he was finished he was at the top of the walls.

     "Are you going to do it Ash? " Bonnie asked.

    I saw the gleam in his eyes. I cut him off before he could answer. "He'll climb it. But I'm climbing with him."

    Everyone's mouth fell to the ground. "But -"

   "No buts. Even though I lost a leg that doesn't mean I cant do the same things you do." Without anyone protesting I started climbing the wall.

   "I like your spirit. You can learn something from her Ash." Grant called and walked out of view.

    I looked down and saw Ash was a few inches away from me. "I told you." I stuck my tongue out and kept climbing.

   After about fifteen minutes I was already at the top. "You remind me of a friend ... " Grant starts but stops when Ash made his way up

   "What took you so long? " I teased.
