Moving towards the house with the Audi parked still out the front, Atwater lead the team to the front door.
"At the back," Alvin told his radio to inform the team at the front.
"Move in!" Hank ordered.
Atwater unlocked the door through the use of clips which were used in the keyhole. Quietly, the team started to move through the bottom floor on the house, coming up clear much to the disappointed and anger of Jay and Hank. Allowing Alvin and Kim in through the back door, they both stayed downstairs while the team moved to the first floor.
Jay halted, ushering the team to be quite as he saw movement from one of the bedrooms. Kevin cleared the other two rooms on the first floor while Jay stood waiting for the next order.
Hank looked at Jay, who had that look in his eye, Hank knew Jay was out for blood, and he was going to do anything to protect his detective and family. Nodding towards Jay and Kevin who got into safe positions.
"Chicago P.D, come out with your hands up!" Voight shouted.
Silence then echoed through the house, the movement had stopped in the room, causing the team to look at one-another in confusion. Before Jay could say anything, the door cracked open.
"Don't shoot!" a women's voice could be heard before she appeared, standing at the doorway in nothing but her underwear.
---
"So, do we have an ID?" Voight asked his team who were now all gathered outside of the house Raul was meant to be in. The team didn't have time to return to the district, Marco's life was at risk, they needed to move fast.
"Her name is Shannon, from what we know, she was abducted a year ago and has been held in this stash house ever since." Kim told the team.
"Does she know anything about Raul or Marco? Has she seen either of them in the last 24 hours?"
"She said she heard someone come in the house an hour ago, never came into her room as she's not allowed to leave, heard a child's cry, then silence again," Kevin continued.
"I want traffic cams, patrols in the area! How did Raul leave without that patrol unit knowing, and what car did he leave in!" Voight ordered.
"Sarg, I have something!" Adam came running over to the team, "a passport just scanned at Chicago Executive Airport, picture is a match to Marco Halstead."
---
"Ruzek, how long until we have security camera footage?" Hank asked down the radio as the team all headed in the direction of the private airport.
"It's loading now," Ruzek replied. "Cmon, cmon, cmon, got it!" Adam shouted, while scanning the footage. Jay sat anxiously next to Hank.
"It's going to be them Jay, Raul needs to get out of Chicago," Hank tried to reassure Jay but he knew everything would be better with Raul off the streets completely.
"Confirmation Voight, Raul is there with Marco," Adam told the team.
"Put your foot down!" Jay shouted, banging the dashboard as he knew they had limited time before his son disappeared for good.
"Sarg, there's a flight showing here that is meant to take off within the next 15 minutes, two passengers listed as Gerard Jimenez and Alexandro Jimenez," Adam continued to inform the team who were about 30 minutes away from the airfield.
"Adam, can you delay that plane without causing suspicion?" Voight asked.
"Already trying to Sarg."
As the team approached the airfield, they were informed that the flight had only been delayed by 20 minutes, meaning the passengers were already making their way to the plane to board.
Running through the airport, Hank and the team scoured the lounge for Marco and Raul but came up empty. Jay was already ahead of the team as he knew he was running out of time to find his son.
Running through the doors onto the runway, he headed towards the private plane with Voight and Ruzek in tow. Halstead's eyes lit up at the sight of his young son, who he thought he'd never see again who was stood with Raul queueing to board the private jet.
"Halstead play this right," Voight told his detective down the radio. He wanted Marco back safely just as much as Jay but neither knew if Raul had a gun, or how this would play out.
Voight took the lead, and began to approach Raul and Marco as Halstead and Ruzek headed towards them from different points.
Raul stopped in his tracks, the drug lord could sense something wasn't right. Looking to his right he saw Ruzek, who then stopped in his tracks. Raul then looked left who saw Halstead, giving the detective a smile before he dropped his bag, pulled a gun and held it to Marco's head causing the little boy to scream.
This caused the other few passengers to flee in fear, either onto the plane or off the runway behind the team.
"Sarg, how shall we play this?" Ruzek asked.
"Halstead keep him talking, Ruzek find an angle, and Alvin?"
"In position," Alvin replied, who was on top of the airport's roof overlooking the situation that had unfolded. Looking into his sniper scope, he lined up his shot with the help of Dawson.
"You know what's funny Halstead? Three weeks ago you didn't even know you had a son that existed, and in less than a minute he won't exist anymore again," Raul laughed as he faced him.
"Raul, you know you don't want to kill Marco!" Jay shouted, "you raised him remember? Four years you spent raising him! He calls you daddy, not me!" It hurt Jay saying what he said, especially in front of Marco but he couldn't bare the thought of Marco being shot right in front of his eyes.
"I raised him for what? That whore made me think he was my son for four years! She made me raise and waste my time for what?!" Jimenez shouted back.
"Daddy, why are you doing this?" Marco asked, tears steamed down his face, he was full of fear, "please stop daddy!" he continued looking up at Raul.
"Raul, listen to Marco! He adores you!" Jay continued to try and reason with him.
"If I let him go, you're all going to kill me anyway! What's the point in letting him go!" Raul shouted back again, before looking down at Marco, a single tear falling down the drug lord's face, "I'm sorry son."
A gun shot rang around the airport, but all Jay could hear was the scream that left his son, Marco's mouth and then time stopped.
