Part 10: Stuck With You

The following Friday...

We pull up to the drive and Johnny turns the engine off. I'm feeling quite anxious and he can tell I'm not myself, he puts his hand in mine.

"Hey look at me, everything is going to be fine I promise. I'm right here with you. If you feel uncomfortable and want to leave early I completely understand."

I interrupt him before he can say anything else.

"I promise you I will be fine, you're with me. As long as you're by my side I'm okay."

He gives me his cute smile and I kiss him. We get out and Johnny grabs the bunch of flowers that were on the back seat. We get to the front door and he knocks. I take a deep breath in and he puts his arm around me to reassure me. A few seconds later the door opens and Martin is standing there shirtless and with a calculator in his hand not paying attention to us.

"Uhh hi dad." Johnny says trying to get his attention.

He looks up from his calculator.

"Oh hello bambino, female." He says as he continues to look at his calculator then walk away.

We look at each other confused but brush it off and enter the house. Johnny closes the door behind him and we take off our coats then put them on the coat rack.

"Hello? We're here" Johnny shouts as we start looking around the downstairs. Then we hear Jackies voice.

"In the Kitchen." She shouts.

We head in there and Jackie is just on her phone leaning against the counter. When we walk in she looks up and puts her phone down so she's paying attention to us.

"Hi Johnny boo." She says as she gives him a kiss on the cheek.

"Hi mum." He says as he pushes away from her.

"Hi Beth, it's been so long!" She says as she gives me a hug.

"I know! I've missed coming round." I say as I release from our hug.

"So how are you? Have you been coping well with pregnancy?"

"I'm doing okay, I've just started the second trimester so the past week has been much easier but Johnnys been helping me a lot."

I look over to Johnny to give me a smile but he's too busy stuffing his face with whipped cream. I give him an eye roll which he notices and he gives me a smile.

"I remember being pregnant with the boys and craving some of the weirdest stuff. Once Martin caught me at 3 in the morning making sausages in pancakes!"

"That sounds really good! I might have to give that a try. I have noticed that recently though I've been having the weirdest cravings. Yesterday I had a crushed up Kit Kat in salted caramel ice cream. It did taste amazing though!"

"She wouldn't even let me try some but kept going on about how good it was." Johnny moaned.

"Johnny if there's one thing you should know is to never take food off a pregnant woman." Jackie said to him then hit him.

Me and Jackie both laughed slightly whilst he moaned.

"Where's pusface?" Johnny asks.

"He should be here by now. He said he has a surprise." Jackie answers.

"He finally got a job which doesn't make him work 24/7?" I joke.

"Either that or he got a girl pregnant." Johnny joked.

I looked at him seriously and he stopped talking.

"Honestly where is he? He's never late." Jackie moaned.
